40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

From Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol.

Apparently they have money and are keen to get him on a pre-contract if he doesn't go in January.

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

If we accept a offer for him, I would wish him all the luck in the world! The way this boy goes about his business through work rate and attitude is admirable, and if we had 11 of them last season we wouldn't be where we are today. He knows he's not the best player and we know that but my work he knocks his cunt in, unlike some. Good luck to him what ever happens

Agreed.

FWIW i don't want him to go.

11 goals with not a lot of service (and often playing as the solo striker) ain't too shabby imo.

He gets a really hard time from some and it's undeserved imo. His goal record is better than anyone expected, given his previous experience. This interest added to the rumoured interest from Hibs shows that there's something there....

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

says in The Scottish Scum that the club "are seeking £250K"

£250K for Simon Ginger Giroud Murray

Time they cleaned oot the pipes at the Royal Arch, ST has gone fucking delusional

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

He'd probably last about 6 months there before wanting to come back to Scotland.

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

Looks like there could be a bidding war!
Might end up getting that £250k that we're looking for, clean pipes or dirty pipes!

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

£40 k = keep till end of season and lose for nothing, we'll get that value of effort and maybe some more goals from Simon.

£250 k = SELL .....the world's a mad place!
5 months away from his value being zero even ST might get this one right and let Ray have that money as a budget boost.

Wonder if there's anybody out there we could convince on Donaldson as well ?

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

I think over 150k and he will be away and rightly so on the condition the money is upfront and is spent on the team straight away.
Murray love him or hate him has been a big player for us this season and to lose him now and not replace properly would be a massive massive failure.

Re: 40k bid knocked back for Simon Murray

The transfer of murray will probably fall into the transfer jigsaw RM mentioned in last nights tully. He will sell a player he does not really rate as long as he gets a replacement in first
