The demise of Qots

Went to Ibrox on Betfred cup action the 20th September top of the Championship and unbeaten.

Since then.....

The Rangers 5 Qots 0
Qots 0 Hibs 0
Dumbarton 0 Qots 0
Qots 0 Morton 5
Ayr Utd 1 Qots 0
Raith 1 Qots 0
Qots 1 Dundee Utd 4
Hibs 4 Qots 0
Albion Rovers 2 Qots 1
Qots 1 Dumbarton 2

Played 10
Won 0
Drew 2
Lost 8
For - 3
Against - 24

They are now 6th in the league and in fact only 5 points above the play off spot. What a fucking plummet.

Wonder if a wee cheeky bid for Stephen Dobbie in January would work?

Re: The demise of Qots

We've got them in the Challenge Cup semi as well so hopefully the poor form continues.

They've a got a new manager so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Re: The demise of Qots

Beaten at home off of bottom of the table St.Mirren 3-2 tonight at home (after leading 2-1).

It wouldn't surprise me if they went down btw.

P.s. Dobbie scored twice.Fourteen for the season.

Offer 50-75k and go and get him Utd.

I thought they'd struggle this season and was shocked at their start. St Mirren won't go down and queens certainly are in a fight with probably Dumbarton, Dunfermline and Ayr.

On Dobbie he's prob exactly what we need this season, I'd take Ciftci over him if it was an option, but can't really think of many others we could easily get.  Think it would take 100k at least tho.

Re: The demise of Qots

According to QoS fans, Stephen Dobbie lives in the Blackpool area where he's settled with his family, and travels to Dumfries for matches and some training, round trip four hours or so. I think it's unlikely he'd want to travel to Dundee (8-9 hour round trip). He's also not a big target man, which it's been suggested we need.

And he's just turned 34, cannae see us being remotely interested.

Younger than Van Der Velden then

Didn't know he lived in Blackpool.

Probably put the kibosh on him going anywhere then other than closer to home.

He's got a young family, born in the Fylde area, at primary school now.

Re: The demise of Qots

Some run they are on.  Thought they looked a really decent team when we played them at Tannadice too.  Ach well, fuck them.

Re: The demise of Qots

Dobbie with 18 for the season.

Not bad for a 34 year old at just over the halfway point.

Pity he's settled in England.

Just what we need.

Re: The demise of Qots

Rankin ran the show in midfield today, never lost or wasted a ball.

well that's the first time he's ever done that Tannadice and he had 5 years of shots at it.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

Re: The demise of Qots

Heard Gary Naysmith’s pre and post-match interviews and thought he came across really well. He’s got QoS playing some decent football. They looked like a Premier league team for a good chunk of that match on Sat. Those two loanees are from Celtic and Motherwell though, so that helps.

Re: The demise of Qots

The boy Thomson (15) who scored their 2nd on Saturday played for Dumbarton three times against us, including a few weeks ago. He was the best player on the park on Saturday in my opinion. On loan from Celtic.
