I agree with you, TheShed. But ST doesn't appear to know how to improve his relationship with the support, just like the majority of football club owners.

See when I got invited down to the Royal Arch to meet Thompson and spence I said to Thompson at the end of the pr stunt (that's all it was though I didn't realise that at the time) was that the best thing he could do was face fans at a meeting.  Properly organised one though,  not a shouting match or a rabble.  One where we might not like or agree with what he said and vice versa but one where the fans and him could start to build a relationship again.

I really enjoy this division ..... or we could go up and play Hamilton 6 times a season....

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Fed Statement

If anyone from the Fed is interested, here's your questions and how I'd frame them:

1. Can you confirm what plans are in place in the event of the club still being in the Championship next season and whether the Club would remain full time or be forced to go part time?
2. What is the breakdown of wages over the last 4 years as regards non playing members of staff versus playing staff?
3. Can you clarify the roles and responsibilities of the paid non playing senior staff at the Football Club?

4. Would you as Chairman (and a Board) like to engage more with the fan base?
5. Similar to question 1, but if we successfully gain promotion this season, what have the Club planned to ensure we consolidate in the Premiership in the first instance and then look to regaining our place in the top six of Scottish football asap?
6. What is the breakdown of season ticket sales over the past 4 seasons?
7. You were quoted, Mr Chairman on 3 May 2016 as follows, “I am currently seeking fresh investment in the club which may in time lead to me standing aside.”  What (if anything) has happened on this subject in the last 8 months?
8. What are the financial and non financial implications for Dundee United of the proposed revamp of youth football which Stewart Regan is currently considering?
9. Has a date for the AGM to consider the accounts to 30 June 2016 been agreed and can you make any comment about the financial health of the Club based on these figures?
10. What are the Board considerations given to when (a) selecting a Manager; and (b) when recruiting new players to the Football Club?

Short, sweet and most importantly open ended (a very important trait to have when probing for answers). Sit tight, see if ST pulls any rabbits out of the hat before the windee slam's shut on Jim White's countdown and ask again!!!  If he blanks all of them, then you will pretty much have the entire support with you.

Well structured Fooky but those who forward the questions will have to deal with a backlash from paid up members for not asking the questions they want.

That's a problem to be overcome.

Don't think the support should continue to be split. Support wants the same outcome.

Slagging each other needs put aside. Calling opinions arse licking or Arch drinking pals is immature pish.

Posting that it's ' wasting your time on here' is a fkn insult to 260 folk on the back of 3 or 4 replies you don't like and doesn't help.

HH replies on touchy subjects shows me some with close contact are more interested in a solution than being right and angry.

There will be a bigger gap in solidarity the longer folk bicker or realise the facts. Those in the know can't expect folk to be slagged into agreement quickly as we love the same thing and won't change opinion through being told to in an aggressive way.

The insult is writing off communicating with a load of good Arabs because you say so.

Stereotyping 260 United fans adds to the split in the support that I'd rather see brought more together.

Very few on this forum have their heads in the sand.

The Fed lads shouldn't be put off letting other fans know more or sharing their opinions.

This forum is a good platform for Arabs to share without having to put up with the gobshite and bickering on other forums.

Ken you speak yer mind and all that so don't be too surprised when folk react.

We all want the same thing. Fair play to argue with each other but calling all the same is pish.

When things are tough we need facts to form opinion. Mind Sevco fan groups becoming dysfunctional when they died, let's not be the same especially when it matters.

Re: Fed Statement

I think they are wasting their time given the responses they got on here, i do not see this as an insult. Were you offended?  260 fans? Who are they and where are they?

Yeah i'll speak my mind and IMO whats the point in guys coming on here who sat in meetings with ST and the rest of directors to be shot down in flames and everything said totally dismissed as being shite? Seriously whats the fucking point?

Its my opinion they are wasting their time and im sticking to it regardless of what you and these 260 fans (still dont know who the fuck they are) think!

He's referring to the amount of members Tekel Towers have.

The Fed guys aren't wasting their time posting on here. Most posters are reciprocal towards their posts on here. Some vehemently support their stance. Some question things more.

Such is life.
