Scottish football
Now and again the media bring up the old firm leaving scottish football.
Many say it would finish scottish football but many others say the opposite.
IMO the game would improve here more fans would take an interest as more teams would have something to play for. Look how up and down the league teams like Aberdeen Hibs Hearts Utd Ict Motherwell have been the past 10 years it would be much more cometitive.
Last nights game had over 18k at it as both teams have something to play for the last league game at easter road between us had 9k at it. yeah that is also on the back of a scottish cup win for hibs but without the old firm i can see it being all the better for so many clubs.

All the Scottish football authorities are concerned about is making sure the Glasgow twins are as strong as possible, and that they play each other as often as possible.
So although what you write is attractive, and I'd love the two cheeks to be well out of the game here, it won't happen.

Been saying for years crowds would go up massively for the 5/6 teams who could maybe raise a league challenge. Tv money would go but it'd give certainty over kick off times which would help crowds too.

The SPL is now officially the most uncompetitive league in Europe something for clowns like Regan and Doomcaster to be proud of. Nobody looks like accepting the bigot brothers in thier league and ypu cant just throw them out. The solution is to have a referendum of all season ticket holders of the other 40 clubs. Do you want ypur club to start up a new league with a new set of rules shared gate money majority voting etc. I think we would be looking at 90% plus could a level of opinion like that be ignored.

I would love all clubs outside Celtic and The Rangers 2012 to grow a pair, call their bluff and resign from the league telling them that they intend to set up their own league without them.
They have nowhere else to go so either they can go away and play each other 40 weeks a year, or they can ask to join the new league on the terms of the rest of the clubs.
Will never happen though.
