.......................Bell...........
Spittal..Durnan..Edjenguele..Robson
..............Telfer...Flood........
.....C.Smith..Andreu..Fraser
............Van Der Velden.....

Subs -

Zwick
Dixon
Dillon

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

I'd like to be able to pick a team that had some width, but really can't find a balanced way of doing it so would go with

                        Bell
Dillon.      Durnan.   Edge.      Robson
                        Flood
             Telfer.            Fraser
                         Smith
               Andreu.       VDV

Subs. Zwick, Toshney, Dixon, Murdoch, Spittal, Murray, Obadeyi

4 players in that starting 11 who to get the best out of need to play where Smith is, sums up Rats problems picking a side.

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

VDV was brutal on Saturday, i wouldnt have him anywhere near the team, if you want back heels, fine, but apart from that, has turned into a luxury player that doesnt do much for us sadly...

I love watching United on arabzone...

That's the problem, similar things getting said about Spittal, Murray, Obadeyi

Difficult to leave them all out.

We cannot get beat in this game!

I'd go ;
Bell
Dillon durnan edge Dixon
              Murdoch
     Flood             andreu
Smith    Murray  Fraser

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

We can't field an 11 without at least 2 players getting yet another chance to shine that is the real problem

VDV Spittal Murray Tope Murdoch are all stinking....could easily throw Telfer in there he's playing ok but really not standing out or being a pivotal player for us

Agree with that, Tope done alot more when he came on than Spittal did or murray did

Why not go for

Smith
Fraser Andreu Tope

Smith deserves a chance surely to fuck, then bring on Murray to run at their tiring defence with 20 mins to to or something?

Massive boost Andreu being fit, feel him and Fraser must be up for it tonight if we stand any chance those 2 can really hurt hibs defence which for me is their week point. Counter attack will be on all game and that suits us to a T.

Mon the Shed!!!

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

                     Bell
Dillon        Durnan    Edge      Robson
                  Willo     Telfer
Fraser                                 C.Smith
                    Andreu
                  Mikkelson

would be my pick, however Dixon will play and so will either Spittal or Tope. Not expecting an open game, we'll go to not lose IMO and try and hit them on the break. It won't be pretty viewing but a result of any kind tonight would be fantastic after last weekend

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

It'll be the same team as last Saturday with Toshney in for Dillon.

Spittal knows where the bodies are, of that I have no doubt.

Too much commotion

That's the starting 11 I'd go with assuming Michelson can play. Expect Dixon will start but other than that I think that's what it'll be.

We're gonna be so narrow the wings could hurt us that's my fear.

Forgot about him.  Right enough, him in for VDV probably.

Personally, I'd play:

.................................Bell

Toshney.........Durnan.........Edge.............Dixon

..............................Murdoch

..............Flood..........................Fraser

..............................Andreu

.................Mikklesen..........Smith

Toshney will play purely for the height aspect I suspect.  Robson was honking against Raith Rovers.
It'll no be that though.

Too much commotion

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

Not quite getting why the vast majority are going for Robson over Dixon granted Dixon is no world beater but Robson has been poor in a number of games recently. Hibs targeted him in the last match as he still has the physicality of a teenager, Lennon would be delighted to see Robson over Dixon
Simon Murray is a doubt tonight due to illness

Re: Hibs v Utd - Friday 6th January (7.45pm)

Hard to find many positives from that half, slow to get going and really vulnerable to pace.

Briefly thought were getting into things after 15mins....not to be though.

What to do...would hook VDV...bit early for the new boy though...Tope for a bit of pace
...Smith for Murdoch...God knows
