Was thru there for the last one, hopefully a far better day out for those heading thru this time.
9/11 of the Team probably picks itself for this one, decisions to be made in full back positions.
Hibs got Falkirk too so real opportunity with a win to potentially extend the lead before playing Hibs.

With VDS out I'm hoping (not expecting) Dillon gets the jersey over Toshney at RB, expecting Dixon to stay in at LB so
Bell
Dillon. Durnan. Edge. Dixon
Flood. Telfer.
Spittal. Andreu. Fraser.
Murray.
Subs. Zwick, Robson, Toshney, Murdoch, Smith, VDV, Obadeyi
Massive game, Hibs kick off an hour earlier too. Need to prove we can handle being top.
Reckon we'll hammer them tbh, about time we gave someone a proper doing. 5-0 Utd (Andreu, Murray, Edge, Spittal x 2)
Shedka has Murdoch & Cammy on for Telfer & Spittal on Mad & that's my line-up too.
I'm not keen on T & S together in the starting XI so I've dropped both of them!
Unless I'm missing something?
Ray seems to like them as he's picking them so I should really be happy with that.

Harsh on Telfer IMO. He's a player transformed this season.
Spittal - I'd drop for Smith. No end product, cant beat a man.
Sheep are keeping Maddison til end of season.
He's more chance of getting a game here than up there.

Telfer doesn't deserve to be dropped.
Cammy Smith can't play wide or up top, that's been proved. He ain't getting central berth of the 3 ahead of Andreu or Fraser so can't see how he merits a start. He's not a bad player but limited in ability to play various positions.
If I was leaving Spittal out it'd be for VDV, but tbh Spittal hasn't been great but nowhere near as bad as gets made out.

Defend, Create, Score - Telfer doesn't do any of these so his inclusion wastes a space in the team. I'd rather we got Toshney and/or Murdoch back alongside Willo, Fraser, Andreu and Murray

I'm one of those who get p***ed of at Spittal, but also agree some of the criticism is sometimes over the top, I feel he gets it because for me he isn't at the same level as Andreu and Fraser the way those 2 play together is a joy to watch at times, none more so than in the build up to the free kick fraser won on Saturday for our winner. Tony and Fraser are scoring or assisting almost all our goals and Spittal has yet to contribute as an attackig player playing behind striker.

remember a year ago spittal was a £2m player according to the press - they were wrong though
i dont like spittal but some do
"according to the press". I don't believe the date at the top of a newspaper unless I can check it elsewhere.
As I've said elsewhere, we've only lost two of the 13 goals so far when Spittal's been on the park.

No Tony Andreu.
Not even on the bench 😳

He'll be a miss but Fraser into the middle will work fine.

1-0 down. All Dumbarton judging by Twitter. FFS Utd.
1-1 Hibs and Falkirk.

Pish day all round results wise.
Need to pick ourselves up for Hibs game.
More importantly need to get strikers in and preferably a proper winger too.

Somebody posted they'd be happy with 18 one nil scores from now on. I too would have been happy with that but the trouble with operating on fine margins is that you risk a dodgy refereeing decision at either end, or fluke goal, their striker not missing a sitter or Cammy not saving a penalty, etc. The team has got away with limited attacking thus far - its not going to win this league unless its does more attacking and any new striker coming in is not going to make a difference unless the service improves. And when you are chasing the game and needing a goal, I'm not sure that taking off our one and only (9 goal) striker gave us the best chance of getting a goal.

Murray was anonymous and deserved the hook.
Cammy smith looked more dangerous when he replaced him.
Shite conditions for a game.
Didn't show up first half, better in the 2nd, disallowed goal, hit the post and the bar.
Midfield was poor.
Freak goal but we should be beating teams like this if we want to win the league

Big nick was a waste wide right. Useless. But showed up much better when more central.
Simon Gump can't take a player on.. tries to run through them.
Fraser had a poor game by his standards. Felt he was pretty wasteful in possession.
Press foive is too nice to be a professional footballer.
Playing your centre back up front is an embarrassment.
Spittal has went backwards. Didn't think he had desire today.
Overall, thought we had a lot of round pegs in square holes and Ray was too slow to change it when it wasn't working.
Cammy smith and tope both helped our play up front. Tope seemed to wander a bit - maybe needs to stick to the right hand side a bit more.
I don't want to be too knee-jerky but we need 2 good players in the squad. A creative midfielder/winger and a big old striker.

That's not knee jerk, everyone, well most folk anyway, has known for months we need a winger and a striker.
