Robbie muirhead

Really good interview on arabzone! I personally feel he got hard done by the previous management team. Thought he was excellent last 6 games of last season, would like to see him partner mckay up top! What's your lads thought on him, i really like him and still can't believe you get put on loan at the start season

Re: Robbie muirhead

I think he's decent but very raw.  He clearly needs to play up top in a front two (McKay would be ideal) and judging from his games last season and particularly the one game he started for us this season (against Celtic) he needs to get a lot fitter because he was breathing out of his arse after 50 minutes anytime I saw him.  Hopefully, Mixu's more intense training regime will sort that out though (then again Erskine and Fraser are still not what you would call 90 minute men yet, so I'm not holding my breath on that one).  The other question is, will Mixu actually play a front two????

Too much commotion

Re: Robbie muirhead

Well done to him for giving the interview, as obviously interviews are tough for him.  I hope he knuckles down and listens and he gets and seizes his chance.  At the end of the season I thought he did really well against Celtic at Tannadice.  I'd love to see him get a proper chance up top with McKay with Riski or Spittal in behind them.  When we play Celtic we always sit too deep and give them too much space at the back to pass across from left to right and vice versa and probe at us.  Hopefully we will get in about them on Friday.

Re: Robbie muirhead

Muirhead will prove to be a good signing, partnering McKaybwould be good for him, and us I think.

We have to remember he's another young lad, can't expect miracles, but he's a good player.

Re: Robbie muirhead

The game Robbie played upfront v Celtic at Tannadice last season i thought he was excellent and though he was more or less isolated upfront on his own could have scored a couple easily.

I think he is very raw but there is a player there alright. One of McNamara's better signings imo.

Re: Robbie muirhead

He's a good player, no doubt he'll go on to prove that.

Another who's development was stalled badly under JMac.
