It has been a very revealing election.  Always had respect for the religious right, the fact they vote for such a flawed human being in droves is disgusting frankly.  Lost respect for a lot of folk over this.

Look at it this way, liberals have the opportunity to vote for another liberal in 4 years (michelle o and she'll win). Fact is Hillary is a terrible politician, not surprised she lost.  Whereas I have to wait at least another 8 years to even TRY to nominate an actual constitutional conservative.

I've actually met Trump and he's a narcissist - no doubt - with the arse bit of narcissist being accurate.  Anyone under him bricks it if something they are responsible for that s not to his liking; and he listens to no-one.  What I cannot understand is that the more outrageous he became, the more popular he became.  In the UK he would not have even got his name on the ballot paper with the things he said and the way he acted.  The only positive is that thus far, he has actually been Presidential from the moment of winning.

As I hate all politicians and political parties, the only thing I'm interested in now is how he does, as I've always said that I would scrap politicians and have businessmen running things.  But I certainly did not have him in mind with that outlook.

I agree totally with you that if Michelle Obama was up against him, that it would have been interesting, as after 16 years of Bushes and 8 of Clinton with only 8 of Obama (after the collapse of the financial world in late 2008) the US electorate clearly could not stomach at least another 4 years of another Clinton, especially after the Director of the FBI chipped in 3 weeks ago - something else that would not have happened over here.
