Fairly even match with a draw probaly the correct result, take the win though. Falkirk cant really complain though as they caused our back 4 little problems until Donaldson came on he is absolutely fucking horrendous

Murray - as above 6
Donaldson- how one guy can almost singlehandedly fuck it up - I give you Col, please please no more, farm him tae Montrose or Forfar - 2
Pretty good summary MD. I was disappointed in Fraser's application and work rate, I must admit. I thought Tony was worth a bit more too than you gave him.
We have to find a narrower system to play all these number 10s we have IMO.

Tope......dear oh dear very poor player, don't see what he offers that justifies his getting a game.
VDV off the boil at moment but Charlie, Tony and Super Mark D playing very well with others starting to gel into a unit, Wullie pretty solid too.
Are we starting to get a team that understands we shouldn't be saft getting pushed around and need to battle for the points.

We stole that today but I really don't care
How did Utd steal that?? Falkirk were clearly there for a point, time-wasting at 0-0!
Fully deserved 3 points imo.

It could have went either way
We drifted in and out the game we played some good stuff. A bit easier on the eye than some games so far

I think saying United stole it was a bit harsh. Falkirk came for the point and hoped to maybe steal something on the break. Most teams will do this at tannadice so we need to get used to it. They had no chances of note until the stramash at the end.
United were the only team trying to win it although at times it didn't look good we managed the win.
I would say, I would have preferred getting the ball down and running at them more through the middle, that's when we looked most dangerous. There giant centre halves mopped in p the crosses with ease. Telfer and flood both played well but when they have 10yards in front of them they need to drive into it. Someone can cover for them.
Love having a defence that is stingy. I didn't like a good 1-0 with limited chances for the opposition. I blame watching the Italian football on channel 4 in the 90's for thar

1st 15 minutes, I thought we had them. Then the game went a bit stale. Falkirk didna get into our box until 20 mins in.
VDV struggled upfront on his own. 3 guys alongside him. Almost pointless having him there. He was involved in a couple of good moves though. There was a move in the 1st half where we where 1 man up and VDV was down the right unmarked and Telfer had the ball in the middle, but he tried to pla thru, instead of going right to VDV.
Great strikes from Andreu and Fraser, that the Falkirk keeper saved, (did Telfer no have 1 saved too?)
One of the things noticeable was that in the case of loose balls, we didna seem to go for them in the same way Falkirk did. We seemed to lay off and let a Falkirk player collect the ball without a challenge. Don't know if this was laziness, lack of awareness, or that we were too faird to give a way a free-kick. But it was evident.
2nd half was an improvement. Match changed for the better when Murray and Smith came on. Murray made some good direct runs towards and into their box.
Ref was hopeless, I counted atleast 5 handballs 1st half (9 through the game) that he never gave.
And what about that wee sh1te Sibbald. Thought some chunt had brought one of the Oor Wullie statues to life.
Glad to see him get booked. The number of times he stood in the face of our players taking free-kicks. Was hopin somedy would kick the ba right into his pus or his goolies.
MOTM for me was Durnan. Some excellent headers out from the back, oh aye and he made a great run forward
then scored the winner did he no.
Worthy winners I thought. It's been the story for a while that our opponents seem to get a late goal/equalizer against us all too often. Great to see us "play the game" so to speak as somedy else mentioned. An important victory against 1 of the teams no far from us.

Away and gees peace, disappointed in Fraser application and work rate? Were U watching the game, Falkirk games I seen last season (TV vs Rangers and Hibs) the left back for them was their biggest threat Fraser tracked him every time he got forward yesterday, and what aboot the time Rankin was clean in and Fraser burst his arse to stop him crosssing it or shooting? Sorry but just think your a typical fans that's made his mind up on a player and no matter what he does he'll always be Lazy and shite to you. Not to mention he's our most dangerous player in an attackig sense too, other than big Durnan yesterday he was fantastic again! Really starting to grow on me the young lad.

Can't disagree with his work rate which is something I've slated him for in the past.
First half he was THE danger in the team. He was right in front of us in the first half and saw him holding his hamstring a few times....so not a surprise he went off later...
What a difference in Durnan, telfer and fraser. 3 of them I'd happily have seen the back of 3 months ago - but not now.
Only one who dissapointed for me was donaldson who scuffed at least 2 balls in his cameo.
I saw him outside and he just doesn't look to have any confidence. Shoulders hunched over and practically dragging his clothes along the ground to get to his lift - boy needs something - he was solid when he came along too

One man's meat is another man's poison. Fraser is the most talented footballer in our squad (where did I say he was shite?) but we need more from him AND we need it more often. To get out of this league you need desire and heart and fitness sadly probably more than anything else. The odd flick and trick won't suffice. You need to be on it for 90+ minutes. I'd guess the Managers message would be along similar lines.

I thought we were pretty poor again in the final third but looked much more solid and organised.
Falkirk came to spoil which surprised me.
Donaldson is a fucking bomb-scare! He was only on for about 5 minutes and sclaffed about 3 clearances!

I'd say you're a month late with that critique.
General consensus has been that he has turned a corner starting with the hibs game demonstrating both dig and consistency in this period. Granted he isn't the most physical of players but still your summation that he amounts to the odd flick and trick is derogatory. His direct running against hibs, Stranraer, st mirren, Dumbarton and Falkirk kept all of them on the back foot and they have to game plan for it, leading to less pressure on our defence.
It's ironic that you question the boys effort when you can't even be bothered to make the effort to keep your critique up to date. I think you'all find that the manager is pleased with what he's seen from him this season.

Great post, and think every poster has a point, I can accept Scotty has the heart of a mouse when he has the best feet and is one of the most creative players we have, and I'm more than delighted to see his new found defensive qualities.

Amen. He'll never be the aggressive player in our team but he'll often be a match winner wether that's with his running with the ball creating goals or scoring himself he is very important to us IMO, and it's too easy for fans to use this p**h ' ahh he's to soft, he's to lazy ' you never see Andrue or VDV going flying into tackles yet nothing is ever said? Fraser has added loads to his game this season and think RM has to take a lot of credit.

Amen to this, Fraser is the most important player we have....if he plays the team plays its that simple.
It's almost like Stuart Armstrong again, the amount of moans he got then suddenly when he left we were fucked.
