Huge game saturday which we will need to seriously up our performance if we want to take the points.
Think it will be a draw 2-2 with goals from Andreu and Fraser
Durnan still out? If not Donaldson out and Durnan back in.

Tough game but at least Falkirk should come out and try and win the game so hopefully that will give us a bit more space to work in going forward than last week.

I don't think any team in this league is presently on decent form. As well for Hibs they started with five wins, or they'd be getting pelters from their support for the last five games where they've just got six points.
Falkirk too have been erratic, just like United, although we have been decent, no better, for the last month.
Durnan is available again, and might be expected to return in place of Donaldson.
Will be very unhappy if we can't win this one, living quite close to Grangemouth as I do. So I'll go for 3-1, although Tek usually has a separate topic for predictions does he not?

Aye Durnan in for Donaldson. I know RM was praising Donaldson for his attitude etc which is great, but I though he was just as suspect as usual last week especially with aerial challenges. For such a tall guy he is terrible in the air.

It's a no brainer Durnan must come back in for time bomb
Winning on saturday could be the start of us creating a gap between the teams currently around us
I can see this one being a draw. 2-2. Maybe sneak a win if French Tone has his shooting boots on

Durnan in for Donaldson and possibly Cammy Smith or Coote in for Tope who I thought was loupin last week.
Obadeyi wasn't that bad, he provides a good out-ball & he loves the byeline.
Having said that I'd like to see Cammy Smith getting a role somewhere.

He was absolutely dreadful last week.....heartless

Reading other forums, Falkirk fans seem to think their defence can't cope with pace or anyone running directly at them. For that reason, I wouldn't be surprised to see tope playing.
In this league pace makes up for a multitude of sins

Scott Fraser has clearly been coached into doing this last few games. Hopefully that continues.

I think Tope will start as well since as you say their back 4 is slow and he caused them problems last time but, he was stinking last week; Bambi on ice in the sodden conditions. Looked like he had the wrong studs on for a start (notice Tony Goals changed his as soon as he slipped once) whereas Tope persisted in skidding about everywhere and giving the ball away everytime.

Tope gave them real problems last time out down their left (and in both legs of the Killie-Falkirk play-off come to think of it) so i think he might get the nod on Saturday.
He needs to start justifying Mckinnon's faith in him though. As do a few others.
We could do with a real good performance.A 90 minute performance.
Now we are upto 2nd we should only look up the way and be aiming to get to 1st.
We should become obsessional about it.
To do that we simply have to beat the likes of Falkirk at home,by any means necessary.
These games against the likes of Falkirk,Hibs,Qots and Raith are all '6 pointers'.
We can't afford to surrender more points to Falkirk.

I'd agree that he was stinking last week.
Defenders in this league shite it though under a wee bit of pressure.
I think as standard we should have a pair of world cups or puma kings on the sidelines for winter weather grinds my gears when you see someone continually deck it and you know they have the wrong boots on
. I remember the boy Riski doing it against Celtic, never even changed them at halftime!
Good comment from GC2 about Fraser. A decent ref would have gave us about 4 free kicks in dangerous positions and booked a few of their players as well due to his direct running. That's what Fraser brings to the team, he'll always be a bit o a fairy so will lose about 50% of his challenges, at least ray has him going for more of them though so he will get more of the ball. I'll cut him some slack though if he can keep the other team on the back foot though.
Lovely bit of footwork in the Dumbarton box last week when he pissed on 2 of their boys and almost scored

The bit where Fraser squeezed between two of their defenders and then was decked by one of them only for the ref to give them a foul ranks as one of the worst refereeing decisions I have seen at a football match. Even Mrs LAO (who was at the game cos the wee lad was a mascot) said she couldn't believe what she'd seen with that one.
Fraser would have been in for a clear sight at goal if he'd not been fouled and he got hurt in the process too.

Id like to see Telfer play further up the park also he seems to have gained confidence and has looked good

I think telfer has grabbed this chance. He seems better starting and working his way into the game rather than the continual sub appearances he was getting.
I like him over murdoch as I feel he offers more in an attacking sense as well.

He has looked more determined . The way he stepped up to take our 1st pen v Arbroath in I think our 1st competitive game of the season was impressive.
He wanted to be 1st and looked aggressive, determined and without fear.
Think he knows this season is a metaphorical crossroads for his career. Not quite make or break if you know what i mean but his most important season so far if he's going to progress to his potential as a player.

Obadeyi always seems to be better off the bench.
Telfer starting to show how he can play again, really glad about that cos I think he's decent but really was starting to think he'd lost the hunger.
Fraser and Andreu key men again tomorrow.

I'd have Durnan back in for Donaldson and I'd keep Tope in but ensure he's got old school 6 metal stud bates on. Certain players have the Indian Sign over certain teams and Tope destroyed Falkirk for Killie so you put him on with that ringinging in his ears. And hope you don't witness a perfect cross field switch to him be missed and end up in the Dode Fox ever again!!! Mon Yenitit

Been a bit wet here, if it is also up in Dundee, as FKT says, I hope Tope has the correct studs looked out. Just getting ready to leave, and since it's a 'local rival' to me that we're playing, I'm a bit more up for this than normal.
Hope the players realise this

We stole that today but I really don't care
Topi.......utterly pathetic again and better be consigned to the bench for the foreseeable as should VDV.
special praise for Durnan Telfer Willie and Frank
Offline
Vdv and tope both very poor and was the right people to sub..
Great win and a massive game next week

Bell - not overly worked but did what he needed to do 6
Dicker - defended well and got forward when he could 6
Frank - starting to look a decent player with each game, solid and gets forward well 7
Big Willie- solid and won his battles 7
Durnan - massive change in him did everything well today and scores fae a lungbuster 9
Telfer - very impressive in that new position, calms it down but is capable of a killer pass 8
Willo - does what he does ran about snapping at heels. Some dodgy passes though 6
Fraser - did ok looked a bit jaded today and dipped in and out of the game 6
Andreu- cleaver player and put a decent shift in 6
VDV - one paced and too easy to mark not a no9 not in a month of Sunday's. Time for the bench until he finds some form for me 4
Tope - shocker fae the lad. Confidence player playing today without confidence. 3
Smith - injected a bit of pace which changed feel of the game for us 6
Murray - as above 6
Donaldson- how one guy can almost singlehandedly fuck it up - I give you Col, please please no more, farm him tae Montrose or Forfar - 2
