Re: DUFC v Dumbarton - Saturday 22nd October [3pm]

Utterly bizarre refereeing performance.

I'm sure the GF linesman fell on his arse at their goal, he was just picking himself up when I looked at him after the ref gave it.  Was he on the deck when the ball went through to the boy?

Re: DUFC v Dumbarton - Saturday 22nd October [3pm]

Following the match, it was an all night siitting for me last night.

Great ball from the right from Van the Man. My head went into my hands when Fraser hit the post. Think if he'd hit it with his other foot it might've went in, but hey-ho.

1st 15 minutes we were in control. We had Dumbarton pretty much in their own half, and it might've contributed to what seemed like long periods passing back and forth along the back row, when they had 11 players behoind the ball. After this the game went into a sort of floating mode. Thought Donaldson was gonna head-in past their keeper, but 1 of their players cleared the line by heading it away from goal.

2nd half was much better. I actually thought Fraser had put the ball straight in from the corner-kick, and wondered how they never mentioned it on the Tannoy. Then a couple of guys behind me said that it had come off the head of one of the Dumbarton players.

Our second goal was started off with a great header into Willo and then from him to their keeper, then Eden was waitiing for the kick in.

After about the 70th minute, Dumbarton seemed to come to life bit after their 1st subbie, and started to find their footing a bit.

The weather summed up that useless divot haed of a lino at the GF side. Streaks of wind and p1sh. The only chunt worse than him was the Referee. He dropped his flag (I'm assuming he was gonna raise it for offside) when they scored. I mean 5 times at least in the 1st half he managed to flag offside against us. They were'na all offside.

MOTM for me was Fraser, closely followed by Eden, no just for his goal but the number of times he cleared (esp from headers), but Cammy Bell has to be in there. He made some great saves, some of them were nail-biting.

Great and welcome 3 points but I still feel we are making things difficult for ourselves.

Wasn't there yesterday so interesting reading.  Sounds like the slow gradual improvement is continuing.  That's how it's going to be, need to avoid the slip ups which can come with that tho.

To be honest that was no improvement yesterday and another stinker of a first half from us, Ray needs to get them fired up for first half's and get us dominating teams from the start.

Bell had 2 outstanding saves in the first half and we looked dodgy as fuck defending set pieces .

The Linesman in front of the George Fox Stand was fucking horrendous! First half he couldn't wait to give us offside yet second half not once were they offside...
