Favourite last minute winners

I love everything about this.

I love the spring,April sunshine.
I love the dull whack the ball makes when Barry Douglas plays in the free kick
I love the dull whack the ball makes when the Aberdeen player heads it away
I love the dull whack the ball makes when Basher plays it back in
I love the way 3 of our players pressed Scott Vernon into making a mistake
I love the dull whack the ball makes as it ricochetes off Willo Flood's back
I love the cross Keith Watson puts into the box
I love Rory Boulding's 1st touch (as fluky as i believe it is)
I love our fans roar of anticapation 1 second after Rory's said 1st touch
I fucking love Rory's 2nd touch
I fucking love our fans bedlam
I fucking love Rory running away
I fucking love the dugout going batshit mental
this goal.

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Fuck Tek that's bringing back memories, ended up 3 rows In front of me on someone's seats standing up abusing the sheep In the shed while getting with this united fan who came out of nowhere . Went to KFC for a crushems and went home to get plastered and shagged some slut In a park, superb day.

I'm going for Davie Robbo v The old rangers. Stood the whole night, place was bouncing, was off school for 2 weeks when the flu really fucked me, first time out the house In 9 days, met my current bun pal's from school enroute, Jesus when we scored I'd never experienced bedlam like It, what a fucking night

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Has to be Welshie's last second equaliser in the Division 1 playoffs.

Another season in that league might have set the club back a few years.

Atmosphere that night was the best I have witnessed in the 37 years I have been following United.

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Welshie for me, but Scottish Cup semi against Aberdeen in '94. Atmosphere was a bit pish though, especially where I was sat.

Remember that one all right. With the big old fashioned white bandage round his head. Of course he seemed to like doing it.

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Happy Feet wasn't everyone's cup of tea but he certainly liked a last minute winner.

Mention also for Darren Dods vs Celtic which I can't find video of yet.

Too much commotion

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Thank you for posting that clip Hamarab, never seen that since i was there, what a strike but also what a poor crowd eh unlike the link to the QF Derby at Dens in 19 oatcake, the stand enclosure's these days are a waste of space compared to the good old days. Many memories

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Ferraz scored 2 winners against Le Fun.

First game of 99/00,also.Cannae mind if it was a last minute winner, but it was certainly late in the game.

Re: Favourite last minute winners

I missed the Boulding one because I was in Fort William having just completed the West Highland Way. About dropped 2 bottles of wine in Morrisons when I got a text fae my mate.

We've been no bad for last minute goals though.

Brian Welsh against Aberdeen in 1994 semi is good because I was blootered. First real proper time on the drink as a 17 year old adult.

Loved McKinnons goal at Tynecastle as well although I think it was with about 4 mins to go. Was living in Edinburgh then because I was at Uni through there. My Hibs mate came with me. He went more mental than I did. Ran right up to Hertz fans. Class

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Re: Favourite last minute winners

2 belters that were actually pivotal days in my life were ray mckinnons late rocket v hearts at tynecastle in jan 97, was actually our first win there in about 100 year lol... Some bounce after that, was the same day i met my wife xx

And jimmy mcintyres last minute winner v the fun in January 2002.. Was the last day i had a fag :D

maist mental last minute goals for completely and utterly losing it are Darren Jackson at Hampden v motherwell.. Welshie at Hampden v the sheep in 94 and imho the most important goal we've ever scored welshies v Patrick at tannadice in 96

Re: Favourite last minute winners

Roared the house down when this went in.seems the norm to cuff this lot now,but at the time this had been our first league win there in ages.
