Memories of this tournament in Sweden Gents?
Offline
Getting smashed out of my napper midweek I think in the now no more "Smart Alex" in Aberdeen during the last game against CIS; then moving to the equally no more "Tatlers" where in an attempt to sober up after the game (which I guess must have kicked off late afternoon) food was ordered. They were doing a novelty Christmas Dinner of Turkey and all the trimmings. I'd barely finished it when it was all yiked up in the bogs and that was Game Over for me! Not what you had in mind TEK, but a non event of a major competition for me and the one I remember least about. Is this the one a Tartan Army Footsoldier kissed a Swedish Cop?

It is.
My main memory of the tournament isn't really the Scotland games.
It's more the Denmark games and the Sweden game where Thomas Brolin scored against England and was subsequently christened 'Tam Brolin' for his efforts.😂😂

My pal claims he was (told he was) helped up from a prone position by Rod Stewart after drinking a bottle of whisky at the CIS game, but that's about the only memorable thing I have from that tournament. Unless it was the one where he shit his kilt as well. I'll have to ask.
Edit for: In case any lawyers are looking in, Rod Stewart didn't shit his kilt, at least not as far as I know.

My main memories were Bobby Charlton getting interviewed at half-time in the England v Denmark game when it was 0-0 at the time I think and stating in the most arrogant terms possible, "We have nothing to fear from these people." LOL.
This was an England team that had Carlton Palmer in midfield btw.
Brolin - Dahlin - BROLIN!!!!!
Holland vs CIS which was probably the most boring game I've ever seen at the time and reading an interview with Rinus Michaels afterwards lambasting everyone who said it was a shite game saying, "they didn't understand the technical parallels of modern European football," or something equally bizarre.

That was the cunt the SFA asked to oversee their famous 'Think Tank' tae.
That went well eh?

Just had a watch of the Germany game. If you look at the crowd shots, not a single Scotland fan wearing one of those stupid army hats with feathers sticking out. When did those stupid cunts infiltrate/take over the Scotland support?

Only game that I can really mind from a Scotland point of view was the Netherlands game, have a memory of Gullit giving Mo a bit of a roasting for the first 15 minutes or so but then went quiet after that and Super Mo held his own for the rest of the game.

Mo had a bit of a mare in the Germany game.
Tbf they were the World Champions.
'92 was an odd one in my book - normally there's something that sticks in your mind about a tournament (even if your memory needs a wee jog).
Bit Euro '92 - nothing, zilch, might as well never have happened

Thinking more about this tournament, it was pretty poor as a spectacle. The Danes were no great shakes, boring to an extent, but the thing I mind is folk going on about it being a betting coup of some sort. Yet when I try to research that now, nothing is immediately apparent.

I like the Utah Saints.
The Richard Marx song is a guilty pleasure track also.

I like Utah Saints too, and I've been to see Erasure a couple of times.
Most of the rest is, as SlatefordArab says, utter shite.
