Stranraer v's DUFC - Saturday 8/10/16 (2pm)

Helluva distance for our supporters to travel just to see us go through the motions with a weakened team. With that in mind I'd play a fairly strong side.

I'd rest the likes of VDS,Edjenguele,Bell,Dixon,Cammy Smith and Tony Andreu, and assuming Flood and Murdoch are still out I'd go.....

Zwick

Dillon
Durnan
Donaldson
Robson

Spittal
Fraser
Telfer
Obadeyi

Van Der Velden
Murray

Subs - Long,Dixon,Van Der Struijk,Edjenguele,Cammy Smith,Andreu,Matty Smith

Something along those lines would be about right.  Boys who need game time, while ensuring the injuries and niggles are allowed to rest.

Will be there, a day oot on the piss regardless of what team he puts out although liked its been mentioned I'd like to see some of the fringe players get some game time.

Re: Stranraer v's DUFC - Saturday 8/10/16 (2pm)

Don't know. He was playing last nite for the Devs, so was Ballantine who's on loan To Montrose.
Charlie Adam's brother threw one in the Forfar net on Saturday so was thinking Long might go in for the game against the Welsh side.
Josh Donaldson looks the part & is rated in some quarters so reckon he might be goalie bench man at Stranraer.

Any wins a good win. Quarter finals it is, still the possibility of a welsh or Irish trip too.  Clean sheet for Zwick prob the most important part today, need his confidence high for next few weeks.

It'd be churlish, although I very much dislike this competition, not to congratulate Zwick on the clean sheet, and also Dixon for the cross!

That's another Saturday 3pm league game fucked up.

I'd imagine so. Though we'll probably get Dunfermline in the draw

Re: Stranraer v's DUFC - Saturday 8/10/16 (2pm)

I kinda hope Linfield beat QotS this afternoon so that there are two different teams in the draw.
Historical note on the Welsh team. They're not Welsh, they're English by 8 miles. About 25 years ago Oswestry Town became Total Network Solutions who were then bought over by BT so they had to find new names for the initials. There's something 'Sainty' in their history so the new name had some resonance.

Useless information for a Sunday morning or what?!

Re: Stranraer v's DUFC - Saturday 8/10/16 (2pm)

I wasnae at the game yesterday, principally because my wife had bought me a ticket for the Scotland game, as a bilated birthday present, so had to spend the day with her "sh1teseeing" in Glasgow. Worse was to come. About 60 mins of what I saw at Hampden was dross.

Nothing wrong with your info smed. Was in Oswestry in August. Right on the English-Welsh border in Shropshire. Kinda remins you of Forfar a bit. Name comes from Oswalds Tree apparently. Football ground is outa town a bit, but did notice one of the clothes shops in the main street selling their shirts. More sh1te for a Sunday mornin.

Erm
My wife just reminded me, that when I first saw the shirt in the shop, I shouted out "What the phuck are they selling this sh1te for here ! ". ( It's a white shirt with sort of thin green bands round it ). Then the woman in the shop said "Oh that's the football shirt of our local team".

Interview with RMcK at 3.50 in

It would seem Willy and Tony Andreu both had ice on their hamstrings after the match.

Oh dear.
