Pathetic all round tonight. Created virtually nothing and defended shockingly. Pish

Brutal result.
Awful start by McKinnon IMO and this myth that he took his time to make the 'right signings' is appearing just that.
A myth.

I was working in Forfar until late this evening, and listened to the game on Sportsound.
Kept hearing (correct me if I'm wrong), Gunning clears the ball, Gunning heads it out. Great defending by Gunning. Gunning this, Gunning phuckin that. Got me thinking, where the phuck was this chunt when we phuckin needed him.

Gunning had a lot of good games for us too
But he's on the edge and had to go for walking off
He's wasted what should have been a great career

He was a good player when he was interested.
Unfortunately for us most of the time he wasn't,and/or would lose his heid.
Tonight he clearly was very much up for it.
If that cunt does the double over us on Saturday we might as well turn the lights off.

That was absolutely abysmal tonight.
Out of the players Mckinnon has signed I think only 4 get pass marks. The defence hasn't improved at all with the Dutch lad and Willie. Be lucky if we finish in the top half of the table.
Sick as fuck contemplating where our clubs heading.

In rays arabzone interview that's the first time I've seen him absolutely raging, let's just hope to fuck he gets them clowns sorted out

I'd say some of Raymond's problems are self inflicted, but surely easy to sort out.
Unless he still wants to stick with the same players, some playing out of position, and the same formation.

Unfortunately I'd say they certainly aren't easy to sort out Pat.
All the defenders are crap (at all positions). We have one striker who can't lead the line at all.,on his own And about 6 players who can play number 10.
Our fringe players are also fucking rank so when we lose one or two of our better players like Flood and Andreu we inevitably are fucked.
The squad imbalance and lack of quality in key areas is startling. And there will be no quick fix.

The formation doesn't matter if players don't do their jobs. When we lost the ball tonight we were all over the shop, exposed down the channels and even CBs left wide open. The shape of the team was way off and partly comes down to having no focal point up top.
We have to get back to basics. We have to find a way to win games, then start worrying about the nice passing. We need a back 3 or 4 to defend, defend, defend. We need to sign a striker, tomorrow. We need to collectively grow a pair, fucken full backs pulling out of 50/50s. We need to win a header in our own box. Mostly tho, we have to want to win and show some heart, the lack of desire is scary from some.

Defended the guy loads cause he's an old pal but tell you what Scott Fraser can get to fuck. Boy is absolutely woeful. One footed, nae bottle, no even brave enough to try beat a man last night. Gave him the benefit of the doubt last season but fuck sake he canna even pick a decent pass. Get 4231 to fuck as well.

Seconded. Fucking sad excuse of a footballer total pap.

Not excusing some very average defending last night, but our 5 man midfield has never dominated a single game....We are very powder puff in the middle of park and playing 5 means we go one up top......worst 1st half display I've seen in a long time/maybe ever.......

RM is very close to becoming the next Brewster,he's failed to address the obvious failings and his lack of experience in management is there for all to see.
He needs an old head to help him and coach the team especially the back 4

Mind a couple of weeks ago talking about the fans turning against Ray, and it's beginning to happen.
Agree with AP, it's not just about the manager, his backroom staff seem, like the last two management teams, devoid of worthwhile advice, even at this early stage. But what 'old head' could we secure? Can we afford it (can we afford not to)? Would Ray be receptive to what he might see as interference?
It all seems to have fallen on its arse earlier than I could have dreaded.

Good to see a measured response to what was agreed an unacceptable performance. Turning against the manager in September, unbelievable. Rm took a few days to decide if it was possible to turn around one of the worst teams we've had in the last 50 years before committing to the job. Its clear to see that the team is unbalanced and lacking in key areas. Rm has made some good signings, some not so good. However IMO the current team is a significant improvement on last years ( which was assembled with about 4x the budget). When our best 11 are not on the park we are struggling, as many of you have said our fringe players, What |RM was left with are in the main pish. Nobody likes losing but hes out of his depth get an old head in calm down lads.

I don't think rays got an option. In managerial terms he's still a novice. He probably will make a good manager given time but he needs help. Maybe instead of spunking money on a consultant, who let's be honest here what's he actually done, we could have spent that money on getting in a director of football or a coach that's been around a bit just to guide Mckinnon.

Said before, there is plenty of ability in this squad of players! Its the mentality that is all wrong! Absolutely 0 fight or desire.

The players know last night was unacceptable. I made that point directly to one of them at full time, in a way which wasn't right, but frustration kicked in big time. To be fair he took it and has messaged me today apologising for the performance. Hopefully they take the frustration into Saturday and play the way they should be. I just hope they all care as much as some clearly do.
I really admired Van der Verden for coming over to our end at full-time holding out his hands like he was apologizing for us getting beat, he's a good lad.
I had a hangover this morning and it wasn't alcohol, traffic delays meant we never saw a Greenock boozer.
It was just the result, it was like last night brought home we're no way out of the woods yet, 21 months of hurt continues.
I felt for the players, there's accusation they didn't 'want it' as much as Morton but I don't think they could have tried any harder, they were desperate to equalise.
Causes nervousness when they get the ball, you can feel their tension.
Repeat opponents on Saturday then Hibs away a week Sunday....here we go.

I don’t buy into the suggestion that Raymond is going to be like Brewster. He is raging re last night as are all of us, he has lambasted the players he said all the right things. I have every faith he will turn this around. He knows the league and knows what is required. That said who in their right mind would be a football manager all the training all week cannot legislate for people not fighting for everything on the park. I believe he will be a shape up or shape out type of manager. My only real concern is the deployment of his defensive players, people seem to think Toshney is a CH but from what I gather he was RB or CM for Raith so god knows.
Re a big target man clearly not as easy to find as some think. I for one am happy that he is not signing people of the back of youtube videos etc. The dutch guy and Willie have been pretty poor so far but perhaps lack of pre season etc is contributing.
We need to dust ourselves down and make sure we get 3 points on Saturday. If we did not know how difficult a league it was before we do now, only really Hearts have sailed it every other year its been tight as.

BB as you say he knows the league and knows what is required well how are we nearly at the end of september and we are still seeing the same problems as the 2 previous managers? We have played well against thistle thats it. We rode our luck against Ayr at home and didnt play well at Dunfermline. Its very grim stuff we are watching. He needs to get the players performing better starting from saturday
