Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

If Flood,Andreu,Murdoch,Toshney and Telfer are all injured then this might be a tougher night than I anticipated it to be about a month ago.

I'd go with a very attacking side as I reckon that will be our best bet on the night.Know what?I think a 3-5-2 is worth a punt.

........................................Bell..................................
...............VDS...........Edjenguele.......Dillon.........
Spittal........Fraser......Smith.......VDV........Robson
........................Obadeyi.....Murray............

Subs -

Zwick,Dixon,Durnan,Donaldson,Brad Smith,Matty Smith,Coote

Not confident 😐

Puzzled what to think about Tuesday: was going, probably giving it a miss now to save frustration.

Doubt Raymond will alter his set up to the extent of going 352, although I agree that would be interesting.

If it cheers you up, the Sportsound team described a former player who has signed for them as looking like he was towing a snack bar!

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

Posted the other day about playing 3 at the back, it should work defensively with the players we have and Spittal and Robson wide.  How it works in front of that would be the issue, particularly with the injuries.  All just talk anyway, cos Ray will never do it.

We're looking like this tomorrow I reckon if all those are out injured

                   Bell
Dillon.  VDS.   Edjenguele.  Dixon
             B Smith.  Fraser
       Obadeyi.    Smith.    VDV
                        Murray

If we're sticking with 4-2-3-1 then I'd go
                                Bell
Spittal.     VDS.          Edjenguele.         Robson
                B Smith.           Dillon
       Fraser.           C Smith.          VDV
                           M Smith

Subs. Zwick, Dixon, Durnan, Obadeyi, Murray, Coote , Taylor

Matty Smith played last night for the U20s, Ballantyne is on loan at Montrose.

It'll be:

Bell

Dillon
VDS
Edgenguele
Dixon

Murdoch (fit according to the Courier)
Fraser

VDV
Smith
Obedeyi

Murray

Subs: Zwick, Robson, Donaldson, Durnan, Spittal, Brad Smith, Andreu (seemingly ok to play some part).

FFS. Done by one ball over the top.

Meanwhile we need about 20 passes to get anywhere near their box.

2-0 Morton.

We lose a goal from a set-piece.

Ad-infinitum.

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

Only thing in common is the same formation, and it clearly doesn't work no matter what manager/players u have.

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

Brilliant, subbies gettin abuse at h/t now for not hitting the target.  Shape of the team pathetic tonight, all over the place when we lose the ball.  Big improvement needed and quick

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

Houston on BBC Ecosse constantly saying Morton look 'hungrier' to win the ball than Utd.

The exact same thing struck me on Saturday against Falkirk.

Worrying.

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

As Joe says, Frankie on a tightrope, get Dillo on for damage limitation.

Re: Betfred QF - Morton v DUFC

Coll would not have been my thought for damage limitation.
