Poland V's Scotland

Even just 3 games into the campaign i get the feeling we MUST take something fae this game.

10 men behind the ball and try to nick one on the counter or play 2 upfront and have a go ?

I think our best  bet is just to have a go.Our defence is always liable to concede anyway.

Re: Poland V's Scotland

If we want to qualify, then we need to win.  Draws not a disaster, but in the long run can't see it being enough.

4-4-2 for me.

Point would be decent result mate.

Win the home games and a couple of the away games (Gibraltar,Ireland our best bets imo) and we will be there or thereabouts.

we should be looking at taking full points away to those 2 and Georgia next year imo and winning our home games.

Re: Poland V's Scotland

Anya injured, explains his performance on Saturday perhaps, who plays in his place?

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men

Re: Poland V's Scotland

Not looking too promising without Hanley and possibly Anya. Greer will probably play even though he is louping. Need someone with pace to replace Anya. Only really Chris Burke in the squad. GMS really needs to get his finger out of his arse. On form this game would've been tailor-made for him.

Am I right in thinking that Mulgrew is free from supsension but is injured anyway??

Too much commotion

Re: Poland V's Scotland

Looking not bad. Just need to keep it tight and stay focused. Try not get too ahead of ourselves.

Re: Poland V's Scotland

Before the game i would have defo taken a draw,but...come away fae that dissapointed.

Shades of the Germany game about it i'e' well on top and looking like killing the game off, then stung on the counter.

We look like no mugs now though.Unfortunately we are definitely in the 'Group of Death'.

Re: Poland V's Scotland

Wee word for Gordon Greer.

Heard quite a number of people turn their nose up to his inclusion in the team..

I thought he was very capable indeed.
