Injuries

Pretty bad day at the office was utterly compounded by our utter bad lack when it came to injuries today.

4 players injured in total (Toshney,Flood,Telfer and Andreu).

Did anyone notice that Scott Fraser was summoned to the dug-outs (during a corner btw ffs) and handed something by McKinnon. He runs over to Andreu who gubs whatever it is (presumably paracetamol/ibuprofen).

Wtf was all that about?

Was he playing ill? Weird stuff.

Re: Injuries

Not weird at all he's our best player and has to play every week, more likely a pain killer

When Andreu went off he looked like he was limping or at least walking with discomfort - maybe hurt his ribs or something?  I'm guessing he picked up a  knock (probably caused by the pitch) and tried to play through it with a pain killer.

I've never seen a player gub pills during a match in 30 years of watching it.

Painkillers take half an hour to kick in btw.

At the very least. I am prescribed Tramadol and they take about 2 hours to show any effect. Thankfully I don't have to use them on a regular basis.

Re: Injuries

Telfer done his ankle ligaments. Andreu went for an X-ray today on his ribs. Flood has a thigh strain. Going to have to do it tough tomorrow night.

Re: Injuries

Re: Injuries

Got to say fair play to Charlie Telfer for finishing the game despite being f***ed for a good 30 mins of the second half. When you see cunts like Gunning and his antics last season while being "injured" then fair play to anyone that sticks in to try help out there team mates, particularly when he was aware of their being no subbies and leaving the field would put us a man down.

Re: Injuries

Telfer deserves credit for that.

He is desperate to show himself different from his old squad mates. Mind thinking it was a good sign that he was desperate to take the 1st pen v Arbroath which he scored.

If Murdoch is fit he'll be less missed than Andreu, that's the injury that hurts more for the club though.

Re: Injuries

Cammy Smith takes Andreu's place but nobody can fill Floods void unfortunately, Murdoch is nowhere near Flood.

I hope Telfer hasn't caused himself more damage playing on.

Re: Injuries

Mind thinking as someone posted that Hibs were stockpiling players. Now worried we don't have quality cover for the better players.

Budget is much smaller and what we have isn't capped by the manager so before we loose faith in the manager factor that in.

Re: Injuries

Murdoch has no chance for tomorrow I heard.

Need to hope Willo isn't as bad as we fear.

Credit does go to Telfer btw for playing on.Felt he was one of our better players on Saturday too, until he picked up the injury.

Re: Injuries

Murdoch out for 3 months with knee ligament damage now fs.

It's gonna be another season blighted with injuries isn't it?

Re: Injuries

In happier news however, I've just read that Cammy Bell is back in training much much sooner than anticipated.

Quick healer.

Re: Injuries

We need our luck to change or at least the rivals to suffer injuries to top players or we are just going to struggle all season, first quarter nearly over and we've not put a good 90 minutes together in the league yet.
