Was stuck between 'not giving a fuck' and worrying about an embarrassing and confidence denting home defeat against the bottom team from a league below. Hope it's Hibs away in the next round.

Dixon spittal and fraser to fuck asap for me.

Wullie looks to be a good find,
Frank seemed ok wasnt too keen on the passes we him and zwick in first half.
Andreu will be a good one also.

Overall thought was pretty pish.

Brutal. Although we hit the woodwork 3 times and their keeper was mom. Make of that what you will.

The boys still there from last season (Telfer apart) continue to let us down/sell the jerseys. Funny that.

IMO:

Dixon was the worst of all our players.

He used to be a limited defender with an excellent cross. He's now a terrible defender with a terrible cross. Absolutely shocking positionally.

Zwick is an accident waiting to happen at every opportunity.

Toshney was brutal, going forward and defending.

Frank was decent, took control when required and sat back allowing Oor Wullie to go forward.

Wullie was excellent. Best defender. Best passer. Best tackler. Best headerer. Best first touch. Best close control. Brilliant.

Telfer done well in bits and tried hard, worth a spot on the bench.

Flood was his usual self, some excellent play going forward.

Spittal was poor, came into it more in thr second half and again in ET but his best contributions were shite crosses that became shots.

Fraser was quiet, don't think he done much wrong but didn't take control either.

VdV was good, some great touches and very aggressive, he wanted it and dragged his teammates along with him. Bit wasteful at times and held on to it at other times when he could have played a one-two.

Tony came into the game when they tired, was pretty quiet tbh but some really good touches and tried to run at them, think he'll be a very good addition for us.

Murray done okay, made some good space for himself but also fell over the ball twice when an opportunity presented itself.

Dillon done okay, if he stopped trying long range passes he would be even better.

Donaldson did not do okay.

I'll give Dixon a break as he has been out for weeks now and looked spent after 60mins so did well to last 120. Toshney was solid enough, I think he's not as bad as other do, no world beater but for our level not that bad.

Like the look for the three lads we have added. Once they settle and get to know those around them I think they will be great additions.

Telfer did well today in that sitting role and some strike for the first.

Not the greatest performance in the world but a good work out for the fringe lads and the new boys.

I thought we were far from brutal.
Wasteful, yes, brutal, no.
If we had a natural goal scorer the game would have been finished as a contest by half time.
They had around 4 efforts and scored 2 of them.
Sloppy for the first goal with Fraser being too short on the pass.
Think it was spittal who got roasted for the 2nd, a good cross and finish but I would've hoped our ch's might have got closer. I'll cut them some slack though as it is their first game together and it was a good cross and also finish from a clinical front man

It's all about opinions but the Dixon penalty shout was a stonewaller. Many on here eager to blame Dixon for the goals. 1st goal 100% Frasers fault, 2nd Dixon was caught overlapping but Spittal was totally skinned.
Zwick is bloody awful, Bell has to play every game

Despite maybe what my ratings suggest I too didn't think we were brutal, we played some good stuff at times.

Was a really useful exercise, we're through to the next round and a couple of fringe players showed up well and a few more hopefully cemented their place as back up at best.

Absolute bricker of a penalty for me, I was right in line with it, maybe Dickers made a meal of it they way he went down but it was definitely a pen IMO.

You must sit near me, I was in line with it as well.
It was a bricked.
The ref said he never gave it as the boy got to the ball before he caught Dixon.
He didn't touch the ball - ref was wrong

No doubt Fraser at fault 1st goal, but it all came about because Dixon was miles out of position and caught out, same at 2nd goal.

Boy didn't touch the ball, but he slid past Dixon who just dived over him, never a pen IMO.

Replays often make a cnut of what you though was definitely a or b at the game so I probably shouldn't be so adamant but I can't see how the player for the ball for Dixon when the ball didn't change direction at all and the player would have sent the ball the other way.

I'm in full agreement with Andy.
In the modern game as well, if you go to ground and don't get the ball 99 times out of 100, it'll be a penalty

Pretty sound review ......but Donaldson not even close to that good ....was tempted to go to the pub when he came on as thought he might flog a couple of goals...........he got unbelievably lucky ..or we did.

re the pen the defender didnt touch the ball as it didnt change pace or direction. the defender also thought it was a goal kick. 2 weeks in a row we havent had stonewallers

Just watched goals again.
Poor pass from fraser to frank who reacts slow to it dont think he kens how close there boy is..
Second Spittal roasted from the boy good cross and met with a free header in oir box.

Havna been too weel over the last couple of days, but I made the match but even the result didna make me feel any better.

Strange game. Found us play brilliantly at times, then stupidly at others.

Great to take an early lead in the 1st minute, thru a brilliant wallop by Telfer, but then couldna kill the game off. Their equalizer was probably down to Fraser who shoulda cleared or passed better, instead of trying to beat their man in our box.

Van the Man played thru brilliantly by himself and takes a good strike to score the 2nd, but within a minute, they get their 2nd, their number 5 beating Dixon on the wing, puts in a cross that gives McAllister his 2nd.

Great cross by Spit for Tony to nod in fir our winner. Could live with him scroring at least 1 like that every game.

We had about 70% possession, and canna understand why we didna manage to kill the game off. Why in phuck do we make it so difficult for ourselves?
