Nowadays newspaper 'journalists' spend the day either
a) reproducing press releases they've been given
b) reading social media looking for some shit to claim as their work
c) looking through regional papers for stories to copy.
In this case it could be b or c, but either way it's not newsworthy, unfair to the lad involved, and inaccurate.
