Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Still looking for a striker, we won't get one tonight though.

A lot of players will get released tomorrow or agree severance deals in the coming days so we might get one in over the next week or so.

Would imagine we're trying to lose a couple that way to get the striker in.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Justin Johnson away to York for the season apparently.

WTF is that all about?

There must have been a fall-out I think.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

If Ray McK has sent him down there I'm sure there are a number of  reasons that add up to be the right decision.

Not surprised, if true attitude is shocking

If you'd seen him last Tuesday night at Arbroath you'd understand. He was stinking, his touch was shocking, and completely uninterested.  Hooked after 55 minutes and it was clear Bow was raging with his performance.  Ray was there and there's no chance he could have left that game thinking 'this boy can do something for me this season'.

He'll go to York, fail and disappear from the game IMO.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Bit dissapointed tbh as I think there's a player there.

But if his attitudes pish then hell mend him. Had heard murmurings of that even last season under McNamara and Mixu.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Got to be happy with that signing of Andreu.  Like Tek I think there is a player in Johnson, to me he has raw ability that just needs a lot of nurturing and coaching, he certainly won't get that with Jackie at York.  Still, if he is showing a poor attitude then he'll get nowhere in the game.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Delighted with the signing its exactly what we needed, VDV up front now?

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Andreu is quick and creative. There's a lot of good options to consider.

If that's true, then that's pure Celtic-ish in the skullduggery of things, but is it a surprise given the cockroach coach they have.

Re: DUFC Deadline Day Thread

Hibs are definitely stockpiling players. Very Celtic.  That'll end in tears for them. They can't sustain that kind of spending surely?

Too much commotion

Two bids by Hibs knocked back - £50k it would seem - confirmed by Ray in today's Courier
