Re: Thompson interview

Should get him on here for a Q&A

1st question

Was the Harry Souttar deal really done weeks ago and delayed until ST sales period was over to maximise sales and not piss people off even more?

2nd Question

Why are you employing Jim Spence to do all your talking instead of spending that money on a decent strikers wages?

3rd question

Any chance u could just fuck off?

Re: Thompson interview

He is still writing the questions he wants to be asked so he has the answers ready

Re: Thompson interview

U think Spence maybe opened his mouth about this without actually asking Thompson first?

Or maybe they think after beating Ayr that it's not needed this week?

Or possibly Jims completely forgot he ever said it?  (Not suggesting for a minute he was blootered the other night when he was doing all his 'liaising' on Twitter, even if it all read like it)

Won't make a bit of difference anyway IMO, there's stuff we get told, there's stuff we get the good parts of the story and there's the stuff we'll never be told.  I wouldn't actually mind that if the club was heading the right direction, but it's so obvious that we're being run poorly IMO that folk are always going to question the part-story's and the silences.

Re: Thompson interview

It's not just the Thompson interview though.

Spence claimed Mckinnon would do an interview to talk about his 'signings'.

Signings plural.

Re: Thompson interview

Wouldn't be surprised if the next thing we hear from Spence is he's left his role at the club.

Would be the best thing that I've heard in a while. He's a prick.

I think that means the one's he's already made and how he feels they've settled in and why he bought them.

Maybe.

He (Spence) was saying it in the regard that he had 'very good news' for Utd fans though.

I took it by that that it would be to talk about new signings.

Re: Thompson interview

Regarding an interview on United’s own channel with Stephen Thompson, few would have been satisfied with any comments or responses he made anyway: for me it would have been pointless.

I don’t use Twitter, but as I understand it, people offer opinions on their accounts.

Many United fans want Thompson to either splash the cash or fuck off, but I doubt very much either will happen in the near future. It is almost futile to make personal attacks on Thompson, Spence, Southern (he’s had a quiet time recently!), Martin, Stewart……….it appears to be having little effect.

To me, it seems only a matter of time until the vitriol turn on Ray McKinnon, and then we’ll have reaped what we’ve sown.

All we can do presently, to help the club, is to support the team, like fans of many other clubs do, unless, somehow, any of us know of avenues of investment which can help Stephen Thompson on his way. He’s not going to give up his possession for nothing.

Re: Thompson interview

I really can't see many fans turning on the manager even if we have a crap season again as everyone can see he isn't getting the financial backing needed to strengthen our weak squad.

A couple more defeats however will see open season on Thompson again and rightly so in my eyes, he's failed us again this season.

It's so frustrating as 2/3 clever signings would give us a real chance to test Hibs' metal but if nothing changes in the next week or so Hibs will piss the league.

Re: Thompson interview

Hope you are right re Ray, AP.

I doubt Stevie Wonder would fail to see we are lacking new players, and I'll be hugely surprised and disappointed if this doesn't happen. Even ST can't risk that..... surely?

Re: Thompson interview

Agree with AP regarding Ray everyone in the stands is backing him and the team from what ive seen so far and cant see it changing towards them anytime soon results depending.

As AP says also 2/3 players away from making a challange but we knew it wasnt going to be an easy ride and most appreciate that.
There is no cash for thompson to splash on players and im sure we are waiting on Souttar going to put some of that cash towards signing the boys we urgently require.

Re: Thompson interview

Just to add i think the interview will be done once Souttar is away so he can tell everyine how great a deal it is.

Nothing surer and no confirmation of the fee I bet, there will be big numbers put out then a year later a reduced fee appears re every other deal done lately.
