Do you guys think it would be at all viable for someone to set-up some kind of crowdfunding site? On Kickstarter or Go Fund Me or the like?
Or is 200k an unrealistic amount for our support to raise (club could make up the shortfall if it wasn't too much)?
I should say, assuming the club are even interested in installing safe-seating (though I can't think of a single reason they wouldn't be).
I doubt we would get anything near 100k starting up a page or that the club would be willing to put the rest upto 100k if not more. i think would need to start with some sort of letter to all season ticket holders with a questionaire or something then trying to get some sort of lump from sponsors or something.
Id be more than willing to pay for mine.
That was another idea I raised mate on the "Ground Improvements" thread awhile back.
Why not sound out a few local medium to big sized construction companies and float the idea of them doing the work at a massively reduced price (cost price if you will) in return for sponsorship for x amount of time?
Even rename the Stand after them (for a time at least). It's just a name after all.
Again, just an idea.

Defiantly think there's a good idea there like.

Yeah its a good idea imo.
You would get volunteers prepared to help take the seating out as it is now to save costs also i would imagine.

Just floating the idea.
No danger should the support be asked to pay for something like this, given the money that's been wasted in the clubs recent history.
If and when the club can afford it then do it, until then no false promises should be made regarding it and they should just carry on letting folk stand in the ET lower when they want.

If ST is going to pay any attention to the people who support the club financially and vocally he needs to simply dip into his own pocket and pay for this outright.
Spencey, get him telt. He might never be forgiven by some through recent affairs but this would be a step in the right direction.
The atmosphere needs to improve. Plenty potential to harness a passion thats displaced and dispairing.
Easily fixed. Get this caper on the go without taking away from the squad!
Edit to say- this will happen in time whether funded by fans, sponsors or funded by both.
Will be a bigger fuckyou to Stephen Thompson than not buying season tickets if we just manage this to an end result without him. Especially in a stand bearing the family name.
If not we will fall way behind the so called fan experience if we are later than sooner.

Possibly but the chairman only has 2 options left regarding the fan split, #1 prove his haters wrong or #2 prove them right.
Nae cunt is knocking on the door to buy him out and he has to improve the team and fix the divide.
Really doubt he is daft enough to create a deeper divide after whats gone recently.
Think it will take the Andy Robertson gamble to come in though before we get what we crave.

Fucking gimmick and like buying a pair of fake tits when you desperately need a heart transplant. Madness to be spending money on that just now. Buy a decent fucking centre half and a striker, start winning some games and I'll be happy.

Just from someone with their ear to the ground mate. Has been right about a few things previously (and wrong on occasion too admittedly).
Time will tell I guess.

As much as id like.us to have it just now is not the right time to be spending a fortune on safe standing.
Getting the team back to the top leagur is priority and any money we can spare should be going towards the squad.

Correct bowers.
I want safe standing but not right now. Not our number 1 priority.

Spending money on this just now would be mental.
I'd like to see the shed back to safe standing but ffs we'll have a less than half full stadium more often than not this season, no need to improve anything.
Saying that the seats in the east stand could do with a fucking wash, they are barket.

The stairwell roof in the Dode Fox upper is leaking onto the stairs, surely this is a priority to fix?
Eddie will be turning in his grave knowing that a pensioner could slip down the stairs at Tannadice because his cunt of a son doesn't keep up with his housekeeping.
