League season starts in less than a week and a lot of places in the team look nailed on in my eyes, how we feeling about it?
I think this will be his go to team when all fit.
GK - Bell
RB - Toshney
CD - Donaldson
CD - Souttar
LB - Dixon
CM - Flood
CM - Murdoch
AMR - Cammy Smith
AMC - Van Der Velden
AML - Obadeyi
STR - Murray
If he can get another centre half he'll play him, if he doesn't I think he will go with Souttar?
I think he'll go with Cammy Smith on the right over Fraser but could be either.
Personally I'd play Robson over Dixon but don't think Ray will.
7/8 places look guaranteed but I'm really happy with what he's put together in such a short space of time.

If picking a team right now I'd play
Bell
Dillon. Toshney. Souttar. Dixon
Flood. Murdoch
Smith. Van Der Velden. Fraser
Murray
Subs
Zwick, Robson, Durnan, Spittal, Obadeyi, Telfer, Anier
Team is short of a CH and a striker, think we all know that. With the wealth of young talent to supplement the squad, I'd be quite happy to swap anyone/2/3 on the bench or Donaldson for the 2 we require.

Been saying it for ages about Donaldson and the more i see him play its just reminding me of gaving fucking gunning. I tuink he is gonna turn into a lost cause but we are short and need someone in asap.
No chance id have dillon starting.

Agree with you Bowers, I keep giving him the benefit of the doubt but the Gunning comparison is accurate.
I was hoping Durnan might stand out in the Championship, like he did with QotS but I'm not holding my breath.
There will definitely be a CH joining, he'll start at LCD, which means we've got Dillon, Durnan, Donaldson, Souttar or Toshney to fill the RCD position.
He can obviously rotate between them all but a solid back five is going to be the difference between promotion and not IMO.

Sadly agree with thoughts above on Donaldson.
Don't like writing off young players but he's not what I want in such an important position.
Need a solid experienced quality player instead. Daft mistakes, daft Gunning like reactions, bad positioning over and over, weak in the challenge and given too much of the ball when opening forward play for my liking, the latter though is probably more of a tactical idea the manager wants from his position.
I'd like him to leave el pronto. Too risky to keep.

I'll leave team selection to Raymondo but I couldn't agree more with your final sentence. Absolutely astonishing the change in team spirit, organisation and effectiveness. He's still looking for the best CB pairing (crucial), and he can tweak the front 4 forever, but I am most impressed with progress to date.
Said much the same about JMac early days, and we still have the same chairman, so so far so good.

Ray is definitely a Dundee United manager.
