Wee video i seen online of the finished celtic area thats been done this summer the first in Britain.
Must say it looks good and if we had the cash something id welcome at Tannadice even was just one section behind goal.

Absolutely class. Another one of Thompsons lies about getting it at Tannadice.

Why does Thompson need to be brought in to everything it's boring as fuck?
It's obvious as fuck why it's not happened

It was also obvious as fuck when he said he was going to do it.

If it's a choice between safe standing and signing players I'd much rather have the safe standing tbh

The Celtic end looks class I have to confess.
I said well over a year ago I would love this at Tannadice.
It would totally rejuvenate the atmosphere at Tannadice.

It was never going to happen, that's the point. It was another thing said in the paper to try and appease fans. Don't say publicly your going to look at something. Do it quietly and if it's feasible then say your going to do it.

Looks great. Would love to see this at Tannadice and other grounds throughout Scotland.

I'll just leave this here:
It's obvious as fuck why it's not happened- he is a lying bastard.

'We'd need to survey the fans first'.
What fans (if any) were ever surveyed regards a safe-standing section at Tannadice?
Online!
My back gets sore standing at a game for 90 mins. Auld cunt.

There was none. It was, as said earlier, a thing said to appease fans after the Tim two were sold. Simple terms it was never gonna happen as it was far to expensive for the club.

Oh I know mate, I know. I was just being facetious.
I don't know if I'm imagining this but I'm sure I read at the time that it would only cost around 200k to implement it (think this was for the bottom of the East Stand).
Could be wrong but if so we've wasted a lot more money than that in recent times on things that haven't benefited the club in anyway shape or form.
This would.

United would put in the GF top tier, to keep in with some other decision making

Roughly 100quid a seat. Youu wouldnt be far away from covering it with people willing to pay money towards the cost i bet.

If there was some kind of scheme where you paid for the cost of your seat am sure there would be alot of folk interested.

If we spent 200k on safe standing instead of putting it towards transfer kitty, we'd be in league 1 at the end of the season hence why it's not getting done - Simple

True enough.
Shame cos it would really add to the atmosphere I think.

Nobody is debating that and we all knew that it wouldnt be installed when he made the statement regarding it.
Its somethingmany would like but we know the club cant afford it and wont for some time if ever.

Do you guys think it would be at all viable for someone to set-up some kind of crowdfunding site? On Kickstarter or Go Fund Me or the like?
Or is 200k an unrealistic amount for our support to raise (club could make up the shortfall if it wasn't too much)?
I should say, assuming the club are even interested in installing safe-seating (though I can't think of a single reason they wouldn't be).
Just floating the idea.

I doubt we would get anything near 100k starting up a page or that the club would be willing to put the rest upto 100k if not more. i think would need to start with some sort of letter to all season ticket holders with a questionaire or something then trying to get some sort of lump from sponsors or something.
Id be more than willing to pay for mine.
