Utd v Cowdenbeath - Tuesday 19th July 7.45pm

Might sound arrogant but do we really need to play 4-2-3-1 against Cowdenbeath at home?

What about 3-5-2 or even 3-4-3?

I would like to see...

..........................Bell.........
        Dillon...Souttar..Durnan
Spittal.Telfer.Murdoch..Fraser.Obadeyi
.................Anier.... Murray.....

Subs -
Zwick
Dixon
Johnson
Matty Smith
Toshney
Donaldson
Cammy Smith

Re: Utd v Cowdenbeath - Tuesday 19th July 7.45pm

4-1-4-1 for me.

                          Bell
Dillon.   Toshney.    Souttar.    Dixon
                         Murdoch
Johnson.   Spittal.     Fraser.     Obadeyi
                           C Smith

Zwick, Donaldson, Robson, Flood, Telfer, Murray, Anier.

Cowden will be good side this year and no pushovers, they've made decent signings.  We should still be hammering them tho.

Even I'm here. It's good to be back, not been at a home game for ages it feels.

Re: Utd v Cowdenbeath - Tuesday 19th July 7.45pm

Don't get a chance to do much opinions on matches but good game so far, Fraser and Willo standouts for me. Murray should have had 4 but having a good game.

Goal of the match so far was Cowdenbeath's only shot on goal in the 1st half. A cracker!

Re: Utd v Cowdenbeath - Tuesday 19th July 7.45pm

Seriously good tonight albeit against a poor team! For me toshney, willo, Cammy smith were absolutely brilliant! got to say the last 3 signings Ray has made will be the difference between winning the league and playoffs, van der Velden oozes class spraying balls about brilliantly!

Agree wi this word for word. Flood showing why we need a player like him in the Championship, broke up play consistently and was all over the park from start to finish. VdV seems like a handy pick up, passing was spot on and chemistry with other team mates will pick up as we progress. Smith looks like a player, good strength to hold off his man a few times and some trickery to go along with it.

I don't like to be negative and I try hard to stick up for him cause I like him as a person and a professional but Sean Dillon didn't look at all comfortable tonight. Not sure what our best CB pairing is but I don't think we can have Dillon near it. Hes good cover all over the pitch but I'd really prefer he didn't start every week. Still not fully convinced with Fraser either, just too predictable at times but he's only young I suppose.

Re: Utd v Cowdenbeath - Tuesday 19th July 7.45pm

Delighted with that result and a great home debut result for Mckinnon.

Refreshing to see us really take a stranglehold of a game and afford ourselves the luxury of being able to take our foot of the gas and replace players earlyish in the match. This will help legs for the trip to the Highlands at the weekend.

When was the last time we scored 6 at Tannadice?
