Brechin v Dundee Utd

Saturday 2pm

Hoping he goes with a starting 11 as close to what will be playing at start of season and give them a proper run out.

Bell
Dixon
Souttar
Donaldson
Obadeyi
Telfer
Spittal
Murdoch
Fraser

All need atleast 45 minutes

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

Yeah it has to be close to the Arbroath 11,i agree (Blackpool game too close to it to select same XI).

Bell

Dillon
Donaldson
Souttar
Dixon

Johnson
Murdoch
Fraser
Spittal

Obadeyi
Murray

Subs -

Zwick
Robson
Anier
Telfer
Matty Smith
Brad Smith
Ballantyne

*Assuming Durnan and Toshney are still injured... we really are thin on the ground*

As things stand Toshney apart that's our starting 11.  Desperately need quality up top, rest of the team looks ok, but don't think that team will finish top 2 in the league.

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

Yep, think that will be the team too. We are really needing another striker, midfielder and defender minimum. Personally, I'd also like to see us sign another winger/number 10 and a right back as well.

Too much commotion

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

Some result so far. Are we playing as well as we'd expect?

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

It was 5 going on 10 honestly. Murray missed about 4 sitters, Telfer (who played much better than on Tuesday) had one as did Donaldson and Spittal. Murdoch was very impressive. Got stuck in but then had his head up when on the ball. JJ good 1st half. Spittal played quite well too especially 2nd half and his pass for Murrays 2nd was excellent (the finish was brilliant). Fraser looked very good as well first half and also scored a peach granted Brechin were giving him far too much time though. They tightened up second half though. Wee bit wary about Bell's kicking though.

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

Some good passing and play overall should have been alot more than 5.

Surprised to have seen Toshney play.

This for me, but would say Murdoch was very, very, very impressive. Like Paton, I expected a ball winner, and he is most definitely that, but he has great technique and picks the best (offensive) pass without the need for 3 touches.

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

Agree on Murdoch thought he done well today.

Tope i wasnt to sure when he came on did make a couple of decent runs but he didnt look the sharpest which hopefully that will come.

Liked Donaldson and Souttar together.

Also thought Toshney did well when come on.

Re: Brechin v Dundee Utd

It was great to see Toshney on Saturday - he looked decent - but at the same time should we really be risking a player with a broken nose? Very brave but for what purpose ?
