So tomorrow night at Station Park we will play our first proper close season match versus Gary Bollan's Forfar.

After tomorrow nights game we only have one other friendly v Brechin on Saturday before the real stuff starts v Arbroath a week on Friday.

Quite important therefore that a lot of first team players get a run-out tomorrow night.

Also another chance to run the rule over the trialists and help Mckinnon form more of a final opinion on their abilities.

Based on what Ray was saying to papers earlier, will be youthful.
Zwicks starting, as is Harry Souttar and some other kids as wants to see them in game scenario.
Ploj will be involved
Zubar away back down the road and coming back for the blackpool game (whom he also has interest from)
Joe Ward not being pursued as Ray feels he's no better than what we have coming through.
Lewis Hornby will be involved tonight too. .

Not sure if Jules has arrived yet.
Stephane Zubar was with Bournemouth, released at end of season. Played on Sat but was 'untested' according to Ray so we want ot take another look.
Ray also not sure on Ploj, unsure if he's what we need just now.

Not sure a friendly 3 days before Arbroath is the best preparation, but hey-ho.

I can understand him wanting to be 100% sure.

Hearing Ploj has done well. Scored the two v Cove and also apparently scored one or two in a Utd XI v Utd XI closed door game.

Also hearing he has three other offers from abroad but he's held off from giving them an answer as he is really impressed with Utd and the set-up at St. Andrews.

The lads paid his own air fares etc so has shown a good willingness to get a deal.

Looks like he won't win a deal after all.

That was horrific. A good few of the boys who started will be playing for us this season and just looked terrible tonight.

If I'm being honest here if I was McKinnon after tonight, ploj no deal, anier and telfer wouldn't be back, few of young boys back out on loan they really need to toughen up quickly!

Well on that performance hope Ray's got some stars to come because that was very poor tonight. Shocking finishing from a few culprits, defence not looking to clever and midfield at times pedestrian with some slack passing and poor choices being made. Sadly lacking a leader but most importantly a spine through the team. Nothing there tonight to give optimism for the long season ahead....going to be a drudge on that performance tonight.

Anier missed a heap too. Would give Ploj a deal. I think he's decent.

Ploj was dreadful, missed 3 absolute sitters all from about 5 yards out! Would probably give him the game on Saturday but on last night showing I wouldn't give him a deal

SM.. We get injurys those players are our back up some of these boys will be in our squad on a weekly basis.

Ploj looked pish and said same at game if lastnight was his last chance for a deal hes onto plums.

Also Telfer this season is his last chance to shine he came here from rangers and has done fuck all.

Only second game of pre season after being back 2 weeks and also the pitch may have been a factor for some players.

If you were there, you'd say it was poor albeit a young team! Ploj was dreadful if you think otherwise go get your eyes tested! Get a grip it's a forum for fans to voice there opinions, good or bad, if you don't like it you shouldn't come on it.
