Cammy bell is not a good signing I don't think makes alot of silly mistakes and is not a great kicker of ball either I wouldn't say he is poor but certainly not good either I would rate him as average at best

Hell of a pressure on Ray to get the signings right. No manager ever does and he's on a strangled budget in a lower division.

Bell just about a done deal a Striker from Birmingham and toshney.

No sure about Cammy Bell at all,i have to say.
Know a few Huns and they're all happy to see the back of him.
Time will tell i guess.
Whoever's the Keeper i expect Zwick to be chapping on the door a bit more this season.Good young Goalie IMO.

I actually think he could be a good signing however time will tell!
One of the trialists is Zak Jules, he's a centre half!

I'm quite happy with it to be honest.
He is not a shit keeper and he will have a point to prove with having had a bad time at Rangers. He will be wanting to get into the Scotland squad again and be wanting to show it should have worked out for him at Rangers.
Could be a good move for Bell and us.

Kenny Miller of the sun tweeted something along the lines of, he could be a good player up here as he's a real athlete and decent on the ball! The boy certainly doesn't look 18

Reading about him he seems to be a left sided defender.
Hopefully better than the last kid we had from Reading (couldn't be much worse really).

Apparently Denny Johnstone is again on our radar.
Birmingham looking to loan him again perhaps.

Hink you're losing it mate,Aaron Kuhl was a quality player
In all serious though I'm glad we're exploiting the loan market of England, IMO there's more quality to be found there than scouring the Scottish lower leagues for signings.
Fair enough Kuhl was a total flop but I have much for faith in McKinnon signings than Jackie 'My scouting network is Pierre Van Hooijdonk' Mcnamara. My only worry is that with trials nornally lasting a week to a fortnight that we still won't have much of a squad going in to the League cup if Ray deems most of them not good enough.

Just thinking, when we have Harry Souttar and Jassem Sukar at Tannadice, another young centre half might be a bit odd, perhaps pushing our own players down the order.

Could this be a sign that we are prepared to sell Souttar.
Out of interest, how is Jasem Sukar getting on? I've not heard too much about him.

I would much prefer if we filled our team with our players and not loanees, I think that had a major bearing on our demise last season......they walk away with no regrets whilw we are left reeling.....fuck that again
Lets build a team for the next few seasons

It's going to be hard to do that though given our budget. Too many loanees are a problem, like you say, but if it means getting a player in (the right kind of player hopefully) who has something to prove then it can be a benefit. A loanee is exactly the same as a player in the last year of their contract, except the chances are they have more ability and would normally be out of our price range.

The loan market is extremely good if you use it well, McNamara didn't! And with our budget your being unrealistic

No, we need a team for this season. A team that will win as many games as possible.
