Reading about his style of play it sounds like he's a direct replacement for Paton.

Going from the what was said at Q & A;

Signing a goalkeeper was his priority, it's 95% complete should be announced in coming days, so if Cammy bell is released from rangers in the coming days I would say it will be him!

He's looking to add 8 additional players to our 12 strong squad, would imagine szromnick and anier will be offski!

He met a striker last week and showed him round the place and he was apparently, shocked at how good our facilities are.

He met another striker/winger tonight

He's openly in contact with a centre half as he marks this as a priority along with a goalie, hopefully a hardy bastard

All in all a great night and was very impressed with Ray again!

Rumour Fife way is Kevin Cuthbert from Raith. Ex Hamilton GK. No idea if there's any truth in it.

Just hame the Q and A, was decent and was worth the trip in to the toon. Fair play to United, particularly Joe Rice and Spence for organising it.

Like the way Ray is organising the squad and most importantly isn't signing players off the back of a f***ing DVD unlike some previous managers. How much St Andrews is a draw for players came as a pleasant surprise to me. Also interesting, though not totally surprising was his estamation that Hibs & Lennon will have around 10 times his budget for the coming season.

I would say it's unlikely but never no! Also in the paper today says Cammy bell is away to end his time at rangers, I would say he looks pretty certain to sign for us! Also says Cammy smith of Aberdeen is someone Ray wants on loan

I thought I read that Bell was going to Hearts? If they've made him an offer to be their number one he'll go there. Not sure if they already have someone to replace Alexander though.

Last I heard Hearts had signed Paul Gallagher as player/coach but still on the lookout for another goalkeeper as well so depending on their budget it might be Bell they are after too.
