Ched Evans

Signs on for Chesterfield.
Interesting and very brave move by the club.
Innocent until proven guilty though.

Personally think he'll get a not guilty

He's already been found guilty in a court of Law though (a very rare thing to happen in a rape trial btw).

And yes,i know there is a retrial coming up.But for me it's a case of 'guilty until proven innocent'.

Not the other way around.

Re: Ched Evans

No, the conviction was quashed wasnt it? Evidence flawed So it goes to a retrial - meaning still innocent til proven guilty.

Re: Ched Evans

I didn't realise the conviction was quashed.

In that case i would concede, innocent until proven guilty.

Re: Ched Evans

I know absolute nothing about this case but asked my friends brother who is a lawyer in a well known solicitors group who told me that had Evans case had happened up here and he was prosecuted in Scotland rather than England he would never have been found guilty. Whatever that means.

I personally see no issue with him returning as a footballer wether guilty or not, he's served his time. I doubt anyone would stop him working if he was in just about any other kind of work.
