Labour MP Jo Cox murdered
Utterly shocking news that this young mother of two has been murdered whilst conducting her weekly drop-in meetings,by a member of the right-wing organisation Britain First.
The Media have contributed massively to the current climate in England.
What a sad state of affairs.

I think it might be worth while waiting to see how this pans out - does seem the guy may have had mental health issues.
Thoughts of course with her family.

Its tragic news. Being able to access your representaives at a surgery is an important part of our democracy. When you see how detached from reality footballers, businesspeople and celebs are, I would hate MP's etc. to completely go that way too because they don't feel safe.
Horrible for a mother of young kids.
I must say though, I worry about the direction the world is going in the past few years. The right wing on the rise, tensions between lots of sections of society and the growing threat of terrorism, not to mention an increasingly aggressive and intolerant Russia. It's grim times.

Has it been proven that it was a member of Britain First? The claim that he shouted Britain First before shooting has been retracted according to a tweet I saw early by some Journalist or other.
Apparently during the initial altercation he shouted "Put Britain first" according to one witness, which may have been in reference to the woman's campaign for such as Syrian refugees, etc. But I prefer to wait until the dust settles, and we get more information about this tragedy before passing judgement. No-one yet knows the facts, and hysterical conjecture will only muddy the waters.
My condolences go to her family at this terrible time. RIP Jo Cox.......
