Pars and Cowdenbeath Ya hoor sir. Hope Arbroath is away.

Looks like one of the more difficult groups early doors.
Arbroath will be a good away trip (assuming it's away).
Offline
Christ, that draw was painful. Felt almost as long as last season!

It's a reasonable draw, 2 we should win easily, 1 we should win, albeit tougher and a winnable game with ICT.
All depends on the squad assembled by then.

Arbroath away = 5 minutes walk,
Ict & cowdenbeath @home
Others away I'd be happy with that.
Offline
Unreal draw. Buzzing train away days
Offline
Gonna guess the 1st seeds will play the second seeds at home. So prob away to ICT and 1 other.

ICT and Arbroath at home, the 2 fife games away suit me.

That will do for me! Cowdenbeath 10 mins away and Dunfermline 15 mins away from sunny Burntisland.

Pish if yi ask me from a fans point of view. Up to Inverness again. Was hoping for somebody else away.

We've got a very decent record up in Inverness.
Albeit will be a different side we'll take up there now.
Arbroath away - chuffed with that. Just along the road on a Friday night.
Will play Dunfermline on league business at east end twice so not bothered about a third trip there.
Cowdenbeath im not overly fussed about either.
Arbroath away on a Friday night could be a laugh!
Some folk are never happy. Isn't Inverness away a highlight for the away squad? Saturday at 3pm too

Arboath on friday night will be brilliant and interesting...
I love inverness away but i was hoping for cowdenbeath away.

Inverness was always going to be away surely.
It wouldn't make any sense if the top seed played the second seed away. I'm presuming that this is the case in each group?.

Im struggling to take this new league cup set up serious.. No interest in it for some reason
Anyone else?

Know what u mean, it's a decent idea on paper, but with the groups at the start of season altogether it's really just going to replace pre-season friendlies for most clubs.
It is what you make it IMO.
Games could get exciting if drawing going into last few mins. The last round of games being played at the same time (as far as possible) could lead to an exciting climax.
Also the semis and final will be played in Oct/November so the competition will have some momentum.

Really looking forward to it.
Much better than pointless friendlies, least there is something at the end of it.

You are correct, it is what you make it: the section system was a failure last time and discarded, I can't work out why it's been brought back. Like bowers, I've no great interest in the tournament, but would be drawn in if we progress.
And the first fixture changed already, for the telly, annoys me.
