Good news for us? Depends who they get I suppose. I read Mixu linked!

It'll be Stuart McCall I reckon.
Which would be a very good and sensible appointment imo.

Why would anybody want to leave Edinburgh to go and live in Rotherham? Anyway, hopefully a good thing for us as there are probably several players who were at Easter Road last season on loan who I imagine that Stubbs would have wanted to sign, I'm thinking Stokes and Henderson in particular here.

Money.
Sad state of affairs but he's probably doubling his wages.

I'm thinking he's been a bit lucky to leave with a cup win under his belt, although Hibs deserved to win the final. Of course, you need to ride your luck to win any cup, but in the league surely Stubbs should have done better in the two seasons he's been there. Last season they depended almost entirely on Cummings for goals, with nobody else getting into double figures in the league.
Always thought they were very vulnerable in a couple of areas (central defence, plus a lack of defensive qualities in midfield) yet they managed to chop us out of two cups............... but that's not saying a lot.
Stubbs is probably away at the high point for him, his stock would likely fall if Hibs falter next season.Plus his family still stay down south..
Maybe Hibs will go for Neil Lennon!

The cup semi final was a bit of a lucky win for them. After the first 35 mins (ie when Mixu subbied Morris) we dominated that game and missed loads of chances.

Aye true Tek. He'll be sacked by Rotherham within 12 months.

Was surprised to hear this confirmed, I think it'll be good for United, we needed change and got it, they needed consistency and lost it. Hopefully anyway.
I thought it might be a possibility when Hibs didn't put up much of a fight to keep him tbh, but still surprised he took it, success there is staying up, there is very little chance he could even get them in the top half, let alone play offs.
I thought going to Bolton and getting promoted would have been a better job.
Hopefully Jackie gets the gig.

Think he's vastly over-rated to be honest, he hasn't done a good job at Hibs at all. To have 2 goes at getting out of that league with play offs and failing is pretty poor.
I'm of the opinion this should strengthen rather than weaken Hibs.

according to most papers neil lennon will get the job
