Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

Where the fuck is this lad eh?

Reportedly our top earner and yet hasn't seen any action since January 2nd (and even that was a 10 minute cameo).Hasn't started a game in 8 months and has very rarely even featured for the Development side.

Does anyone else just find the way he's been erased from Dundee United action completely more than just a bit odd?Can he really be that bad?He looked fairly decent to me in 1 or 2 games earlier on in the season (Aberdeen 1st game of the season and Kilmarnock at home spring to mind).

To muddy the waters further i've heard from 2 seperate people recently who claim he's frequently the best guy in training and has also displayed a great attitude.

I just find it all a bit weird. You don't play for the teams he has unless you have a modicum of ability.

So he's not participating in training then?

What's the story here, anyone know?

Re: Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

If Bodul doesn't live in Dundee, doesn't train in Dundee and never gets selected for games, then he's probably very rarely in Dundee.

Re: Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

Like much of what goes on at Tannadice these days it's pretty puzzling.  Have heard from a couple of sources that he's the best 'footballer' at the club.  Doesn't automatically make you effective on the park though I suppose.

Re: Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

Maybe needs a fresh start at the club. New manager, New style of football, full tough preseason. Who knows, maybe he will end up being a player.

I have to say the first half of the ICT game he played in, was the best player on the park by a mile.

That was the other game i was thinking of but couldn't remember who it was against.

He played on the left of the 3 attacking mids iirc, and looked very decent.

Re: Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

Will be interesting to see where the likes of Darko end up as if I was looking for a new job and my CV says in the past year I have worked 45 minutes I aint thinking there will be many employers out there who will be cueing up for me.

I have a funny feeling he'll still be at Tannadice next year but can Raymondo get something out of the laddie??

Re: Darko Bodul - The Forgotten Man of Tannadice

I really don't think we can afford to keep him.

If there's no money and the players we need to punt don't find themselves new clubs, there won't be a situation where someone at Tannadice thinks "Och well, we'll just pay them anyway".
