Re: New strips

It's been a while since I've bothered the style or colour of our jerseys, but can anyone explain why we'll need three different outfits, when, thinking about our opponents for next season, we'll rarely have to change to the white jersey?

I'm thinking officially it'll be deemed as our 'cup strip' or something.

The reality is I reckon it's a marketing ploy to try and appeal to our female fan base.

Re: New strips

dont like any of them,
pointless having the 3rd kit which is horrific.

People actually think there was a planned protest ? on a thursday afternoon at a kit launch lol

Showed Daisy, my eldest kid, the new strips and said she wanted the pink one for her 6th birthday!

I don't mind any of them to be honest.

Bowers, I ask purely from the point of view that you seem to have knowledge of the protests (more than i do) etc - do you think the banners which were being pinged all over twitter were put there as a protest?

Or were they trying to scare the club?

I'm worried that this will push the club back into saying nothing/ignoring us?

Also any word what Spencer is saying to the fed?

Re: New strips

These banners: it looked like some money has been spent on them, wonder who is funding that.

And, whoever commissioned them, there is no 'SPL' any more.

Back to the strips: the younger folk in my family seem to like them.

I think they are self explanatory and mean what they say.. The club are telling us little and have been saying for a while that would change and hasnt really so i doubt they will have any impact on that front.

Im offshore so unsure what was said tonight.

Re: New strips

Loving the kits, the new manager, the player cull, the new positive vibes, the new coming together of fans, and the lack of interest in the minter protests.

The only way is up.

Re: New strips

Not at all a go at you or anybody who wishes to protest - everybody has the right to do what they feel best - just keen to understand more of what the plan is...

Will be interesting with spence- rate him as a journo - though rumours of square goes on twitter seem a bit off (only heard these after he got the position)

I hope we can get back to being United with whatever happens from here. We have a new manager with new ideas and new contacts. In a weird way, I'm really looking forward to next season. New teams to play, new players to cheers (or boo [i thought craig conways surname was ffs! ])

Anyways...that pink strip... dunno if I'll be buying it for 5s!

Id say the protest/banners recently have been people now wanting to stand up and fight to try and get thompson out to show people they wont sit back and let him away with what he has done. Alot more people have now said he has to go etc but are happy enough to just sit back and let him continue. People have shown an interest over the past year and we just have to hope something comes of interest quite quick or heavy investment is found or things will not be good.

re spence... im pretty sure i posted on here before he was mentioned to have been offered the job about his twitter conduct towards supporters.

Everyone wants whats best for the club here nobody can dispute that and that has been evident at matchs all season. Looking forward to next season myself tangy

Re: New strips

If they put a bit of effort into it, they could design one for the women's team.

Here was the Columbian women's cycling team outfit designed a couple of years ago:
