Re: Points deduction

Whoever handles the administration side of players contracts should be sacked on the spot.

Re: Points deduction

It's pathetic, If I'm sitting here knowing that they couldn't play, then why don't those getting paid from our club know it?

Espescially when the chairman is on the spfl board ffs.

However the 3 points we should be deducted ain't gonna hurt, they'll have to come off this seasons total.

Fine could cost us a member of squad next year tho, depending on the level.

Absolute ridiculous this has been allowed to happen and someone has to pay for it.

Thing is if Young didn't know, then Southern should have and if he didn't then without doubt a member of the spfl board should have, it's just amateur that this happened.  We are an embarrassment of a football club all round right now.  Roll on next season.

I'm getting the commemorative mugs printed as we speak. Anyone want a mug?

Might get 'Southern Out' on the other side of them.

Too much commotion

Re: Points deduction

This along with the clueless handling of the Kawashima deal is a joke. Information that is available to anyone online and we screw it up. Probably the same person--jobs for the boys or is there actually a qualified person involved? Either way, should be punted.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Re: Points deduction

We should maybe ask SFA Head of Registrations Alexander Bryson for his interpretation.

He could argue that Ali Coote was eligible to play as, because his registration has not been revoked at any point by United, he was clearly able to turn out for those short minutes at Inverness, and that United gained no sporting advantage.

For once a player is registered, that player is validly registered unless the parent club cancels the registration.

The SFA rules trump any contradictory rules set up by the SPFL, as the SFA is the ultimate controlling body.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Re: Points deduction

Well, there you go. One rule for all the wee clubs, and another one for any club called 'Rangers'.

I actually think we should face a penalty for this stupidity, but wonder about the systematic cheating perpetrated by David Murray over a long number of years in regard to false registrations.

Re: Points deduction

But we gained a competitive advantage by playing a youth player for 15 mins and having another one on the bench

Re: Points deduction

I agree somedy's made a total chunt of it, but whatever the rights and wrongs of this, the term "kick ye when yer down" springs to mind.

Re: Points deduction

I sat watching the dev game last week ,and the five of us knew that Robson and coote  could not play for the first team again this season , so WTF is our administration doing 😡😡. And Bugsy will verify along with three shed stalwarts 😢

I raised their eligibility too mate prior to the game on Friday afternoon past.

Noticed someone on Twitter screen-shotted a post from a lad on Mad also saying similiar.

So at least a few fans had their doubts and suspicions regards their involvement for the 1st team.As you say WTF did no-one at the club realise this?

Yet another totally self-inflicted own goal from the powers that be at our club.

Re: Points deduction

First 5 words of that statement are glorious, it goes downhill after that.

On the board and doesn't know the rules = incompetent and unfit for purpose IMO.
