Re: Muirhead gone

That is a fkn shambles.  Surely a new manager should be the one deciding who stays and goes out of the players under contract, or are we stuck with Mixu making pish decisions for another year?

Another good player we've wasted.

Re: Muirhead gone

A disaster of a signing.

Last minute panic stations stuff after we sold GMS & Armstrong, which meant that we paid over the odds in both transfer fee AND wages (he was one of our top earners).

And by all accounts his attitude was stinking.

But that sums up United over the 18 months.

Re: Muirhead gone

Don't think any of us could say if he was good or not, saw very little of him, didn't even feature regularly when on loan to Thistle. What is for certain is what a shocking panic buy and complete waste of money that was.......

Re: Muirhead gone

Quite an amount of season ticket money wasted on the transfer fee and wages for this one..... anybody like to estimate the overall cost and divide it by £300?

And the questions: who decided to buy him, and more importantly at present, who decided to let him go?

Re: Muirhead gone

Wow.

Would love to know chapter and verse on this from signing him to releasing him.

But it pretty much sums up the last 16 months.

Shambles does not even begin to do us justice.

Re: Muirhead gone

Incredible. From the little we saw of him he looked useful but raw. Instead of giving him a chance next season we've thrown him away despite the money we spent to sign him, his wages and presumably compensation. It does indicate Mixu doesn't like him and that he'll be in charge next season!

Mate at work says Muirhead's been offered a trial at Sevco.

Re: Muirhead gone

Bit of a shocker...tbh not what I'd wanted to see when there's doubt over who our manager will be next season....

Get the feeling this will come back to bite us on the arse

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

500 of the likes of me in the ETL cheap seats at £300 would pay for the reported £150,000 fee Pat!!!

And if you add up the combined goals of Bodul, Ofere, Taggart and Pongolle, I still think the departed RM has more this season!!!

Re: Muirhead gone

Have to say I'm surprised that the general consensus has not been "thank fuck"

A player that has failed to even make the bench with the worst side (by a country mile) in the top flight under two different managers!

A waste of money and no great loss imo

Re: Muirhead gone

I thought he was raw but definitely had potential to become a handy player.

Boys like him and Aiden Connolly would have been able to perform well at Championship level perfectly adequately imo,and probably been better players for it too.

Mixu is continuing to blitz the club and drive out any young talent we have.

At a loss as to the direction the club is going in.

Why has he failed to make the bench tho?

He's clearly better than a lot of the striking options we've used this season.

Keep hearing "there's rumours of a bad attitude" but not once have I heard any examples of this, just speculation.

Also heard "well 2 managers haven't fancied him",yeah the 2 worst managers we've had in my lifetime, forgive me if I don't really respect their opinion.

You're right on 1 count tho, it has been a waste of money, one thing our club has became very good at.

Re: Muirhead gone

What a fucking disgrace this is! Mixu is a fat fucking fraud and he needs to go, not boys like muirhead! What the fucking goes through this cunts head?? He's our second best striker, no doubt about it, why on earth he hasn't had the chance is a diabolical decision! Also this indicated this fucking clown will be incharge next season if he's making decisions like this

Muirhead - 2 league goals this season.

Bodul + Pongolle + Ofere + Taggart - 0 league goals between them this season

"We need to make changes, player-wise and staff-wise.....".

Fair enough then Mixu, that includes you, so off ye pop.

Re: Muirhead gone

Friend who's a Killie ST holder said to me at time that he signed that Killie fans couldn't believe that they'd offloaded for that amount of money , was pretty critical of the laddie and said Killie fans were glad to see the back of him.

Seen nothing from him that made me think he was going to prove that badly wrong.

Sackie didn't appear to rate him, Alan Archibald didn't either apparently and Mixu definitely doesn't as not gave him a look in. ( yes I know he's not got a scooby ) .

Sometimes it's better to bite the bullet and cut your losses, no point of money going out for nowt in return,  off the wage bill now hopefully.

Re: Muirhead gone

start of a mass cull. boys getting punted left right and centre. a painful  few weeks to come

Re: Muirhead gone

Given the number of players and the standards we've had to suffer this year, wish the cull had been earlier for some of the lazy sods.
