Got to be in it he had to stay up. Surely our chairman wouldn't f##k around handing out 3 year contracts after the last managerial contract sh×t storm he caused. For us that want to see back of mixu I'm getting the feeling he won't b punted untill it's a 100% impossible. Unfortunately for us that could be after our rivals put that final nail in our coffin.

Any new manager needs time to assess the squad before new contracts are handed out and new players recruited. Imo that needs to be in competitive games. Mixus tactics and recruitment have been terrible. Demel still can't last 90 minutes and Kawashima has been a disappointment very average when I expected much better. Gunning - bombskare, risku- average, sinema-pongolle - injured.

The most disappointing thing for me is every time we have a chance to take advantage, we play like we have concrete boots on.

ST will also need to come out and give an honest interview as to the state of the club and how the he'll he plans to fix it if he is going to even attempt to stay at the club.

I'm going to guess that season ticket sales are going to be massively down which will leave a huge dent in his figures. If the Thompson are still not going to put anything in to fix his mistakes, he could be looking at full scale mutiny

How much is the monster pay off worth in comparison to paying off the term of the contract?

I'm surprised that it's being quoted as no relegation clause being included, also shocked that, after the Jackie clause debacle, folk are now party to details of Mixu's contract.

If the monster pay off is real, (not saying it is or isnt) and it's around 100k. Is there another 999 supporters who are willing to chip on 100 quid each to get rid. I don't like criticising any united legend but sadly a man who was remembered for his playing ability will now be remembered for taking us down regardless of the Jackie situation we were one point down when he took over. He had chances of plenty to change things round and his I ability to find his best 11 and play the correct formations got him in this predicament.

Is this conjecture on your part or do you have solid facts?
Like mentioned before I would have thought this contract would have been kept very private after the last debacle.

I remember sitting the night Mixu was appointed and not feeling overly excited or upbeat about the appointment. Like all Arabs I really wanted him to do well as he was such a great player for us, but his signings have been on par or even worse than JMc's.

Beggars belief some of the dross we have had the displeasure of watching in the famous Tangerine over the past 14mths.

Not disbelieving you regarding the contract situation, however, 'in the papers' doesn't sway me to accept anything.

As an example, today's Courier has Stephen Thompson abroad, while Gordon Deuchars is having coffee with him soon.

A Daily Record 'exclusive' article about the club is penned by Keith Jackson with extensive quotes from an unnamed source. Dinna get me wrang, if there was no break inserted in Mixup's contract for an end of season review, then that alone would show that the BoD are not fit for purpose at Dundee United Football Club. And if confidential contract information is leaking out again, then that would be yet more grounds, especially if from someone trying to destabilize things yet further with their own private agenda.

But I live in hope to perhaps see the day that when someone asks you a direct and simple question, that maybe, just maybe, you will answer it............................

I have absolutely no doubt HH is correct here. He's no exactly been wrong before with info plus I've also heard this aswell about there being no cause in his contract.

I believe what HH says to be true.

Whether people from Utd should be relaying confidential info is a different matter entirely but I think there is a bit of self-interest at play amongst some at the club.Maybe one or two even casting out dodgy bait and seeing who bites so to speak.

Forums thrive on rumours and to that end HH is just adding to the many that have been posted on here and elsewhere in recent days.

Speaking of which here's one more for you I heard last night.

Thompson has approached John Bennett with a view to him taking over the Chairmanship for a season or two or until 'the dust settles'.

Again believe what you will lads. I'm just passing on the latest 'whispers' lol.

Don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to believe that there is no review clause in MP's contract. So it's going to take more than someone posting a statement up here to make me believe it.

I was being serious, ask Dave. He will tell you. The board think they have a result that they don't have to pay the full contract up. I was told this, I shared it. Don't know why that makes you a 'lesser fan'?? After reading the Daily Record article, I would say with 100% confidence all that info came out of Tannadice.

I'm not that surprised tbh. We would've probably struggled to get a manager to take on the job with zero compensation
