now, before anycunt starts over the road, this isn't meant as a this place is better than that place debate, just simply MY point of view and wondering what others think, and i'm posting it here because i stopped posting over in utd mad

but...what the fuck has happened to that forum? i posted there for near 10 years, had many great debates and had thousands of posts, but jesus christ its a car crash on there now (yes i stll read it from time to time)

its sad mate honestly,loved posting on there years ago but fuck me its like a bairns playground, argueing about a load of nonsense

hardly see many of the old guard on there now...or maybe i'm getting auld and dinna get it??

I really enjoyed Utd Mad at one time.

Over 7,000 register users (which is basically Utd's support) and only 5 people have posted more on it,so evidently i enjoyed it at one time.

I even enjoyed the odd carcrash thread tbh.But it just got a wee bitty to confrontational and dare i say a wee nasty streak started to rear it's head between some posters.Not even once in a blue moon either but fairly regulary.

I still read it but find myself browsing one or two threads then clicking off after 5minutes these days.

a lot of it's really good posters like Brian Laws,Magic Mushroom,Dirty Arab,Leith Arab,Capeesh,Devils refugee,Trap 6 etc all seemed to post less and less also.A shame in a way.

I used to like it too, good banter, good crirical appraisal and sometimes good debate. I just found myself disagreeing with most posters near the end of my time on there so just stopped contributing then stopped even looking.

A lot of self importance and real nastiness recently any time I have looked in, which isn't often tbf.

Stopped regularly posting there a long time ago and laterly lucky if I posted once a month at times. Just seems to be no civility and most of it has decended to school playground stuff. I remember the first couple of years being signed up on there and used to be able to get into the odd conversion about anything and everything. Slowly disappeared though and too many clashes/divides/nastiness started creeping evermore. I think some folk just like it that way and want to get offended and then try play the mediator.
