According to today's Courier the board "did not recieve a fuller explanation for her decision and the directors - including her brother - remain puzzled as to why she felt it necessary to quit instead of staying on the board while continuing her interest in the wimmins fitba etc" (I paraphrase the last wee bit).

But fear not - "it is understood that Stephen has absolutely no plans to walk away...he is...more determined than ever to dig in and take the tough decisions...root and branch review (playing side and other areas) at end of season"

Try to contain your joy

That means he will be away after the season has finished. His position at Tanny is untenable long term.I don't expect things to improve while he's there. In fact I can only see the Club continue its downward spirral.

Re: Justine Mitchell

Thompson can never win the fans trust back, he must leave at the first opportunity to let our club try and recover.

Re: Justine Mitchell

Eh heard a rumour earlier that there was some sort of argument between the Justine, ST and the rest of the BoD at hampden on saturday. Hence why Mitchell released her "statement" prior to the official DUFC one.

Re: Justine Mitchell

First and foremost, the top of the tree needs to be pruned first. The longer ST and his cohorts remain at the helm, the more damage they will cause to United. Look at what they have done over the last 15 months? Another 15 like that and there will only be one team in Dundee and it won't be us.

Re: Justine Mitchell

Indeed. ST and the entire board need to go at the end of the season.

Too much commotion

The fact that she released her statement on Twitter instead of through United does imply a falling out. What's worrying me is why they fell out . . . . . . .  it can't be because we lost the semi final or because we are playing crap because that's been happening all season. Since she was on the board, I'm guessing she knew everything that's been going on up until the weekend so . . . . .  What is Steven about to do/thinking about doing that made his sister resign?  That's worrying
