Where did Badly Drawn Boy disappear to, he literally just seemed to vanish one night along with all his material. Played a fair amount at the time, but hardly a hint these days. Music wasn't exactly stuff that would age badly.

Always thought Chris Rea was a bit underated, especially a few of the later albums in the early 90's. Some great slide guitar stuff.

This could also be posted on the Scottish Bands thread.

These guys have been around for a few years now, championed by fellow New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen. Who am I to argue with the Boss.

Alway's thought this guy was underrated.
Always liked BDB too, saw him a few times live, puts on a good show, I have the TAXI t-shirt kicking about somewhere.

His last studio album was around 2010, i reading somewhere that he did a soundtrack for an american film after that but never heard anymore about it.
He said he had enough material to bring out at least one album per year, he then said he was bored of the music business and could easily pack it all in. He owns the Twisted Nerve record label based in Manchester, maybe the label and his back catalogue brings in enough to keep him ticking over.

Wouldn't think so, none of the other artists on his label have done anything of note although I did quite like some of the bands on that label, Alfie. MumandDad, Cherrystones. Don't think the label is active anymore though.
The label's co-founder, Andy Votel does a lot of interesting world music compilations. Check out his Finders Keeper's label.
