Enough is enough.

Surely it's time for a protest at the gates on Sunday to let Thompson know our thoughts. It's just one fuck up after another.  The Mitchell resignation being final straw surely!

Re: Enough is enough.

Sure he knows the general feeling already. Not really sure what good a protest would do.

Re: Enough is enough.

Not disagreeing but why is jm's resignation a bad thing?

Other than sorting out a wifies team I'm not sure what she does for the wage she takes out?

Maybe reducing board wages in preparation for next season?

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

He'll go when he gets what he wants and not before I'd imagine.

Imo it would force pressure on him to do something.

Knowing what we know about him as a person, what makes you think he'll walk away or accept a fraction of the pound notes he 'allegedly' wants just because there's a few dozen supporter's chanting bad things about him?

I get the sentiment behind what you're saying, but imo, he's a pretty thick skinned fella who will do as he pleases, when he pleases.

Thompson is quite a sensitive wee soul. He loves praise but can't stand any criticism.  Time will tell

I would rather try and do something to show how i feel rather than sit back and watch us go down the pan without doing anything.

Re: Enough is enough.

It may or may not be the case that Thompson is sensitive. But it looks like he loves money more than he loves praise, to me, and while not against a protest, I think such action will make little difference to him.

The threat of cash flow removal is more likely to focus his mind. A banner and chants of 'Thompson Out' won't be as effective as a banner and chants of 'No More Cash'.

Fans threatening to stop the flow of money into the club make it less viable for him to stay, and the club will be less lucrative to sell. He 's got to realise there is a tipping point where he has to cut his losses. But he can't and won't just leave because fans want him out.

Completely agree Pat.

Re: Enough is enough.

I'm probably way behind with this, but anybody else aware of this before:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC500974/officers

Might be nothing but why would these two be setting up a company together?

I'd imagine that would have something to do with the Australian fiasco.

Aye that was my first thought, like I say probably nothing in it.

Re: Enough is enough.

In case it's not clear, I'm not 'anti-protest', if some folk think that will help change things, fair enough.

Reckoning that Thompson's next move might be to announce that by mutual agreement Mixu is leaving the club, in a move designed to get some fans onside enough to buy season tickets.

But like I've said before, it's only if the money supply is threatened to be cut that ST will feel the heat enough to sell for less than he appears to want.

Re: Enough is enough.

Announcing mixus departure followed by David Southerns then followed by ST taking a massive wage cut would help if he is to stay for the time being until such time as he is bought out.

Re: Enough is enough.

Totally apathetic about all things United just now, protest or don't protest, so what you like.

Just make fucking sure we take 3 points on Sunday or it's real shitstorm time.

"Don't F*cking ever offer me that again!"

Like b&t said, Thommar was the name of the company that officially put in an offer for Newcastle Jets.
