The cynic in me would suggest she has go what she wanted i'e' her Woman's Team so she can play at Chairwoman in her own right AND her Director's Loan back WITH INTEREST.

She has no further requirement for a place on the BoD and is sensibly deserting the sinking ship.

Hopefully her Brother's next to depart and someone buys both out asap.

Dundee United can today confirm the resignation of Justine Mitchell as a director of Dundee United Football Company Limited. Justine has informed the Board that she wishes to focus her efforts on the development of Dundee United Women’s team and the Club’s community involvement

Why did she not wait until todays arranged board meeting to hand in her resignation?
Why has she resigned? As i dont believe uts to focus on community involvement and the womens team.

According to today's Courier the board "did not recieve a fuller explanation for her decision and the directors - including her brother - remain puzzled as to why she felt it necessary to quit instead of staying on the board while continuing her interest in the wimmins fitba etc" (I paraphrase the last wee bit).

But fear not - "it is understood that Stephen has absolutely no plans to walk away...he is...more determined than ever to dig in and take the tough decisions...root and branch review (playing side and other areas) at end of season"
