Good idea given that he's very composed with the ball at his feet and reads the game well?
The fittest guys in the team need to be your central midfielders. He isn't our fittest guy, quite the opposite.
But he can play.
Thoughts?

Our defence has been playing to far up the park with no real pace as it is.
Demel there and keeping them that far forward would be an even bigger disastwr than we have seen

Demel looks like a player, but he just isn't fit enough for 1st team football even at CH.
We have been pushing on as a 4 recently (or at least trying to), trying to play an offside trap with the most disorganised defence ever unsurprisingly hasn't really worked.

Thought he strolled it at CH when he came on today.
Albeit Hibs looked tired.Pity we hadn't tried him there before though.Reads the game well and looked to be quite vocal.

Best centre half we've had all season.
Bossed it, pushed, pulled, kicked and hassled the forward and I think won every challenge.

Id play him there the rest of season alongside Dillon or Morris.
You've changed your tune Mr Bowers

Yeah i have TEk i still think if we played him CB but with the defence playing too far forward trying to play offside it would be dangerous.

Thought he was outstanding at CB.

Although I've been hoping to see Demel at CH since he was signed, he was made to look better on Saturday because of the poor quality of Hibs after they'd shot their bolt in the first half.
Yes, he should have been played there previously, but are we clinging at the hope we might stay up (I sort of am), or are we building for next season? If we are down, Demel is off, and he's probably away anyway.

Might do guys like Donaldson and Durnan good to play alongside such an experienced player, albeit only temporarily.
For the moment though (and when we can) I'd go for Demel+Dillon at CH.
Neither are pacey, granted. But of the teams we are left to play, none possess any real pace in their side.

Always wanted to see him at CB, he did very well there albeit against a tired Hibs team.

By the time Demel came on the match was being played at walking pace.

Pace of game had dropped a bit but was a refreshing change to see a centre back with good positional sense, cool and comfortable on ball strolling through the game.
Don't remember a misplaced pass from the man and was responsible for bringing both full backs into the game which let's face it is the only way of getting "width" into a Mixu team.
Won his tackles and headers as well, who knows where we might be now had he been playing there rather than running out of legs in right midfield or the other mad Mixu formations we got.

Said it wks ago on here when it was suggested, he's far too slow to play there........or In midfield or up front or at Lochee Utd.
He clearly had ability at one time, but that time has long gone.

Awful yesterday when moved there.
But he was just as hopeless in midfield.
A player that obviously had ability at one time. But time and injuries have caught up with him.
Looked finished as a player out there.
