Gavin Gunning

Did Heid tha Ba (seeing as that's all he can do) react to criticism from the bench when he threw his wobbly and picked up the ball ?? Or was it in reaction to the tackle ??
I can't see that far from the George Fox !!
If his tantrum was because he didn't like what the coaches were shouting then he has to go.
Things are bad enough without wazocks like him deciding whether they play or not

Re: Gavin Gunning

He was pointing and shouting towards the bench before he re entered the pitch and fell down feigning injury

He is a complete arsehole and should be sacked immediately

Re: Gavin Gunning

IF he was feigning injury (and i reiterate IF) and threw in the towel, not only do I not want to see him in a Dundee Utd strip again I don't want to see him kick a football again (as a pro).

Every single boy on here would have been made up for life if they had even played 1 match for Utd.

He treats the club and support like we are here to facilitate his life/career.

An arrogant, brainless, ungrateful individual.Get him right to fuck asap.I'd rather Durnan got his shirt.

Re: Gavin Gunning

If most reports are true and he just walked off as he couldn't be bothered then firstly of course he should be sacked but secondly I would hope Sean Dillon as captain cracked his fkn jaw in the dressing room after game

Re: Gavin Gunning

The decision that he should never play for us again should have been taken months ago. There's plenty examples of him not trying a leg over this season.

He's more suited to the other side of the street.

Re: Gavin Gunning

I'm not sure what all that was about. We thought at first he picked up the ball because he thought ref blew for a throw in, when he realised his mistake tried to cover it by feigning injury. Can't get my head around it at all.

I'd love to say that was the worst game I've seen all season but we have lurched from one "worst game ever" to another.

Re: Gavin Gunning

I really don't know what the fuck was going on with him. He wasn't having a bad game compared to some (Dow, Demel, Anier) BUT if he's walked off its unacceptable and there is no way back.

Too much commotion

Like yourself, we were baffled by what was going on. Maybe he was carried away by his 5th Official self-appointment and then realised how stupid it was and went from one thing to another? Even Scott Brown has boundaries with his 5th Official role!

Re: Gavin Gunning

The video is on this guys Twitter.

It really is incredible. All the players look utterly bewildered.Mixu is raging at him as he walks off.

Surely that is the last we'll ever see of Gavin Gunning?

Re: Gavin Gunning

Bizarre, I had a pretty good view and tbh still trying to get my head round it.

As said earlier looked like he thought the whistle had gone - certainly didn't look injured.

IIRC he had a long distance spat with Mixu in the first half just after we lost the goal.

Re: Gavin Gunning

He'd just had enough, not injured, didn't think he'd heard a whistle, just had enough and said fuck it.

Boys an absolute failed abortion, terrible defender with a worse attitude.

Sums our lack of spirit up that not one player ripped him apart for this.  Should have got a smack in the mouth.

Re: Gavin Gunning

Yep he'll be injured until the end of the season now and will disappear into a puff of smoke.

Re: Gavin Gunning

Yip I reckon the official line will be injured for the rest of season to avoid a messy media story

Re: Gavin Gunning

You can see the whole episode in full here, just about the 7 minute mark. I'm convinced Gunning is a reincarnation of Fred Karno. If only someone had flung a pie in his pus.

Re: Gavin Gunning

If he plays again mixu should be sacked instantly and it would show the type of manager he is, a push over! As club we can't condone this behaviour and will send out the totally wrong message to the other players. Absolute embarrassment to the club

Re: Gavin Gunning

why is this utter prick not getting more stick from media? he not only walked off pitch pretending to be injured he also started laughing and sarcastically clapping our fans in eddie Thomson stand whilst walking towards tunnell

Re: Gavin Gunning

There was a critical article in  Scotsman yesterday.

Is it possible, that the guy has some emotional or mental issues? It's really unusual behavior, I can't recall ever seeing anything similar in any sport.

Same here - mutual consent - no further comment from what I've been told

Re: Gavin Gunning

Glad he's gone, but really that statement should have read - due to Gavin's complete lack of professionalism and absolute disregard for his teammates, management, DUFC supporters and the club as a whole, He has been told to Fuck off and never come near Tannadice again or he'll be forced to go into a dozen 50/50s with Dave Bowman in after the other.
