As a club.
From the boards backing of Jackie in the summer, his backing for far too long this season, the appointment of someone worse than Jackie to replace him, then the failure to back him properly in the transfer window to
Jackie and Mixus absolute lack of any tactical knowledge of the game they made good careers from, their apparent lack of man management (the way some players have been treated is bizarre to say the least), the absolute pish they signed and the pathetic team selections, not to forget Mixus absolute unwillingness to set out an attacking team when we can't fucking defend to
The absolute unforgivable attitude of some of the players we have the misfortune to watch, there are some exceptions to this, there are some boys knocking their pan in, some of them just aren't good enough unfortunately, but there are some right fucking imposters in our squad, Mixu keeps picking some of them too.
It all leaves us down in the championship, relegated from the worst premier league in my lifetime. An absolute fuckup of a season from the day last season ended, can't think of 1 major decision the clubs got right. The clear out has to start now and it's time for the support to show the balls the team haven't and force change, as much change as we possibly can.

Good post, TheShed, and we can probably all see the stuff that the management team appear not to.
Mixu is saying this evening, if quoted correctly: "Today was a major disappointment - the way we performed, the result, but we'll look at the match, analyse it and hopefully don't make the same mistakes again."
Mixu is making the same mistakes all the time, helped by Gordan.
Where I see the difficulty is the 'clear out' starting now, and the support forcing change. I'm all for it, but we, as a support, are toothless.

I fear ur right, it's the way now in this country to accept shit too easily with a shrug and a "well what can we do". Fact is change can be forced, it won't be easy but strength is in numbers, I hope our support can show the balls required.

Watching the ZONE post match interview with Mixu, and especially SS's questions, I don't know if this is the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end?
However, I do know, with virtual certainty other than a Euromillions win for me, that Pat's final paragraph is FACT.

It isn't fact, there was at least 1 interested party, who may ( I'm not sure) still be interested. Thomson has to accept what's a fair price tho. The club goes up for sale there will certainly be interested parties.
Why is the Thomson money the priority to be paid back?
Either he wants out, with all his families cash first or he's getting it out before admin IMO.

Thompson has absolutely ruined the club and god help us in the championship as our losing run is 15 months and counting, that will not be turned around quickly given we will have to build a team in the summer once all the loanees and out of contract players leave.
Dark times ahead

When you're getting bossed out of a game by ICT it's time to change. Nae need tae study the video. 20 minutes in and it was clear the system - if that's what it was - was NOT working. THAT was when Mixu should have made BIG changes. The half time rant the radio reported on made not one bit of difference.
Organisation??? Missing totally. Knoyles was up for it when Demel would let him play. Hardly anybody else showed any passion or fight. And as for Gunning. What was going on there and what's gonna be done aboot that??
Tin hat on. As far as the supporters doing what we can. It could be that the neebours showed one way forward when they hit rock bottom. We didnae need tae cos we had Eddie. The son ISNAE the father.
Reinforced tin hat on. One season jolly is NOT anywhere near a given.

Thompson wants 4 million for him and his sister. Not a chance in hell he will get that. It's time for us, the fans to force him to sell. The more we make him squirm thr quicker he'll want out. Time to stand up and be counted

Think now we are nailed on for relegation and let's face it even if we do beat Hibs next week we'll get abused by Celtic in the final (the zombies will get pumped IMO) it is now that we will see the knives out for ST. Think many fans have been unwilling to get too vocal whilst we had a glimmer of hope.
Needs to change as at the moment we are rotten to the core from the players to the management to the board. Complete clear out from top to bottom. I said today that if the visiting manager was in our dugout we would be much better off than we are now, but again we take the cheap option, well that worked out fucking well.
Canny wait to head to hampden 🙈🙈

With one caveat. The fans certainly don't deserve it based on this season.

I read Spencey have a go at someone from here tonight on Twitter saying 'Why not get off your arse and force change like UFC did'?
One small point.UFC had a very willing buyer and a respected millionaire businessman at that in Eddie T.
Is there any one person/people who are willing to buy out the Thompson's?Genuine question?
UFC had massive leverage. The current main players in our support don't.
Thompson will be here as long as he wants too.I'm not sure protests will even do any good.He could just stop attending games and be a silent owner from afar,as Sir Tom Farmer was at Hibs.
The first port of call for me would be to demand Stephen Thompson is removed from his Chairmanship and thus losing his 6 figure+ a year wage.
How the wheels are put into motion on that,i'm not sure. But there must be boys at the Fed/AT who are up on what is action is required to propose an EGM,and/or removal of Chairmanship.
Shite, sad, depressing state of affairs it must be said.

If the Thompson's don't go, United will continue to decline. Instead of giving our money to Thompson we should perhaps consider going to the Dees' games wearing our Shed colours and supporting the opposition?

I wouldna know where to start with regard to us the supporters forcing some kind of change as Pat and others have alluded to. I'll tell you one thing tho. I'll bet you Thompson noticed the walkout starting yesterday right after the 2nd goal. It then crept along and by 80 minutes it was noticeable. It was obvious when I was going along Sandeman St, we much fewer folk around me, that half oe the 7000 were'na there at the end.

Asked in the shop before the match, "how many semi tickets have you sold?" "About 6500. Disappointing but we're hoping a good show today will see more sold".
That went well, then.
Thompson, desperate attempts at getting as much as possible - if that's what it is, is clearing hitting him hard now.
I still say it's hitting the supporters harder. They care.
Look at the support at Ross County and Thistle. The smaller group that went up tae Inverness in mid December the week after the last Partick disaster showed the players what passion for a club is.
Playing for the jersey? Some are barely playing. They still seem to be first on the teamsheet.

Do you honestly think I have had sufficient time to get my head back together after yesterday?
Anyway, desperate times call for desperate measures. It's a toss up between giving Mr Thompson your hard-earned cash or Dundee and other teams? The object is to send a hard driven message to Mr T. Also can watch Dundee getting beat versus United playing the way they are!

Are you serious like? Tell me your on the wind up? Eh couldna care if Thompson set Tannadice ablaze there's nae fucking danger eh'd cross the road to even see they chunts in a pre season friendly. Boycott by all means if you wish but asking boys ti support other teams? That's psycho patter.

You know the ones who think ST is still doing a great job, that Jackie deserved more time, who can see "definite improvement" in Mixu, who think Ryan Dow still deserves more time to come good, who think Gunnings a footballer, who think that "eliminating some supporters" is ok, who said its ok we've got 2 keepers to fight for the jersey at the start of the season, who think those that are critical are just agenda-driven, who think that the squad are all giving 100%, they tend to think all of these things and will support ST regardless of the shambles this season. Unfortunately there are a few people like that who are getting what they deserve.

Thanks for the clarification Shed. I'm not doubting that there might be fans like that, I don't believe that there are any fans on here that would match all of those descriptions.
I know there might be some niggley wee comments on here between certain folk (for example me with yourself, B&T and HH) that can get under the skin which might seem we are of a different opinion of things regarding the way the club is run and about United in general. That can't be further from the truth as I agree wholeheartedly with your original post.
The only reason we might 'clash' on here is because I just have a different way of expressing things and dealing with it. That doesn't mean to say you are wrong, absolutely not at all, and believe me that doesn't meant to say I will just be sitting on my arse and putting up with it. It's just I like to come on here to commiserate and maybe even be cheered up by my fellow Arabs on here. But forums are all about expressing opinions, I respect that and I respect every supporter on here that does have an opinion, if it's different than my own then so be it, if we can have a laugh about it then even better, because God knows we could probably use some after this past year and a bit.

Can I reiterate what I said in post 17. What the phuck can we do about it.
True, as some suggest, we could just no renew our Season Tickets in some kinda protest. However if a large enough percentage of ST Holders did that, there might no be enough coffers to run the Club. Yeah, it might rid us of Thompson, because we might no have a Club.
