MUST win and it's high time we did beat Tommy Wright's mob.Fucking mortifying how much they've bullied,out-fought,out-thought and at times out-played us over the past 2/3 years.
It's very hard to pick a team these days with any degree of confidence, but i just hope we get the 3 at the back to fuck otherwise i can't see anything other than defeat. My team would be.
....................Kawashima...............
Knoyle....Donaldson...Gunning....Dillon
Spittal...............Paton............Rankin
........................Fraser..........
.................Anier.....McKay......
Subs - Zwick,Demel,Dow,Morris,Murray,Ofere,Erskine

I'd be happy with that team as well. This is last chance saloon stuff now.

Would rather have Durnan for Gunning but otherwise I'd be happy with that team too TEK.
Unfortunately what we want and what we get from formation/selection are always very different. I think it will be three at the back and another defeat here.
If he sticks with three at the back I would like to see:
........................Kawashima....................
............Demel...Durnan...Donaldson..
Knoyle.........................................Rankin
...........................Paton..............................
Murray............Fraser..................Anier
..........................McKay..............................
Never going to happen though.
Can’t see Mixu changing 3 at the back at this stage.
I’d go
Kawashima
Donaldson Gunning Dillon
Spittal Paton Demel Rankin
Dow
Ofere Anier
Bully them for a change…

Aye, the formations above would be preferable to that which Mixu puts out, most likely.
Knoyle probably won't get a start until we are doomed, and prove to be a revelation. Demel surely should have the guile and experience to play central defence, can't understand why he has never been used there. It's not as though he would have to displace a pacey reliable defender to get a place.
Reckon we can score a couple, it's keeping them out which will prove to be an issue.
Huge game - I've been reluctant to describe games as 'must win' but I think i'll make an exception with this one.
The fermers probably need another three points to make sure of top six and we need them nice and motivated for their next game - against Killie - we loose this one and I can almost hear the wee sigh of relief from St Johnstone followed by them getting turned over by Killie as they take their foot of the gas.
And us......we really need the points....every point....we need to get the gap on Killie down or closed before the split.
Big, big game.

If it is to be 3 at the back I'd be happy with either of the teams you guys posted.
Just reading St. Johnstone have a few injury problems for Saturday.
Steven Anderson and Liam Craig both out through injury and suspension respectively.Swanson and Davidson both massive injury doubts apparently.
We always lose when the opposition is "weakened"

Our best bet here is probably to reverse the situation of the last few years and bully them out of the game. Surprised to see than no one would have Morris in their team, granted he looks like he could probably not do 100 keepy ups however he is the sort of player we need on ST Js deliberately bad playing surface. The Morris tackle on Lasley is still my moment of the season.
Morris is just one bombscare too many for me...he's also hardly played so don't think he's match fit

I wonder if Mr Thonpson has booked an office at McDairmid Park for delivery of prepared post match correspondence?

Tek's team but swap Rankin and Fraser around.

Two changes, Knoyle and Demel replace Dixon and Spittal.
Kawashima
Donaldson
Morris
Gunning
Knoyle
Paton
Demel
Dow
Rankin
Anier
McKay

United started well, couple of chances and a corner already.
Looks like 4-4-2 diamond, with Morris at left back.
Offline
Would have preferred Dillon at LB rather than Morris. But at least we are playing 4 at the back.
Keep it tight at the back first and foremost and you only need to take the one chance.
And we have plenty of attacking options from the bench.
Offline
0-1 (Dow) 23 minutes

All United, great chances in last few minutes for Donaldson and Anier, keeper saved both.
Yas!! Dowser. 0-1.

Morris booked after 25 minutes.
Worrying.

Morris could have got a second yellow there, got lucky, has to be replaced at half time but wont be I bet.
He's hung out to dry here at left back.
Offline
442 great - then u find out Morris is LB , rather have 3 at the back 😳
Offline
Donaldson straight red, United down to 10.
Dillon coming on for McKay but looks like he's going to CB keeping Morris at LB.
Murray up top for Anier previously.
Offline
Yas!!!
0-1.
Brilliant first half performance then grit and determination when down to 10 men.
It's happening.

Wasna able to make the game the day as I was working. In fact I'm just in the door. Great to get a positive result against Tommy Wrights phuckin mob. I must be a phuckin Jonah. Sounds like we shoulda had a couple more. Anybody able to give some detail oe what happened we Donaldson.

Donaldson was basically a "denying a goal scoring opportunity" red, looked right but I was over 100 yards away.
Terrible game of football, BUT that level of fight is exactly what's required and what's been missing. It's like they finally realised we're bottom of the league.
