Been thinking recently. The name Tekel Towers...bit shit really int' it?
It's also a bit too synonymous with myself. As i've said,i hoped eventually i could ghost into the background on this Forum.
Should it be changed to something else? And if so what?Or just keep as is?
What say you?

I should state from the outset btw that i hate change and as such am a procrastinator of epic proportions,so even floating this idea has me in a bit of a mild panic.
As such one of you guys is gonna have to come up with something that blows me away to persuade me to change the Forum name.
Nonetheless i'm 'throwing down the gauntlet'.Anyone willing to pick it up and batter me over the heid wi it (metaphorically speaking n all that pish)? ![]()

Interesting thought mate, I like the name but understand your reasons for considering it, and now you've floated the idea I thing it probably does make sense long term to call it something more generic.
Will have a think but creative writing isn't my strong point, ha ha, I personally don't like the use of "Arab" in United related labeling, never bothered me for years but now it seems to get used out of context all the time to describe everything related to United, rather than just the supporters.

I would vote to keep it as it is ( creature of habit ) but can see where you're coming from Tek
Off the top of my head
The Final Hurdled
Tangerine Bantz & Rantz
Or what about "Who The Fuck Are Barcelona" ![]()

Me too Tek. Keep the name as it is.

Like the board host name Tekel 'Terrors' better than 'Towers'.

That was it's original name on the night i created it mate (hence the host name).
Decided to change it at the last minute.

Hard to come up with something good that won't go stale.
Like Andy said, Arabs is overused and used badly especially by the media.
Like the nickname 'The Terrors' and would like to see it used more as it's unique and maybe a kind of fresh start.
I can imagine 30 000 tangerine clad grim reapers, monsters and zombies descending on Hampden in the future. What a laugh we could have playing Sevco.
Probably need a few beers to come up with a cracker.
All I've come up with at this time getting ready for work is 'Al Sheda Terror Talk' and that might attract too many dyslexic jihadi's.

Chuckled inwardly at the last two.
The last one inparticular would have been a decent fanzine name IMO.
As for 'The Final Hurdled'.Not for me personally. That would be beating Celtic in a Cup Final in Glasgow...Then i could die fairly content with my DUFC lot.

That's a tough one to think of something new.
I liked our nickname, and would like to see 'Terror(s)' to be incorporated somehow, but maybe having a forum with the word terror in it might not be so wise in this day and age ![]()

The Final Hurdle'd has already been done by that fine supporters fanzine The Final Hurdle after we won the Scottish Cup in '94.

Found that issue and a good few others in my loft the other week after being missing for years. Still chuckling. ![]()

How about 'No Plan B'? Appropriate looking at our current and previous managers.
