Thanks for the numbers GiT.
The 9th game of Round 1 witnessed an easy victory registered (the first one of the competition so far) for the Oasis track 'She's Electric' off of the '(What's The Story) Morning Glory' album.It will now as a consequense of this victory progress through to the 2nd Round.But eliminated from this early stage of the tournament are the three defeated tracks 'Keep The Dream Alive', 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?', and 'Be Here Now'.

Another Round where i could quite easily have voted for any 4 of the songs.
'Falling Down' was the last single Oasis released.Released ONE DAY before the digital download charts started,so quite literally the 'end of an era' for Oasis fans.This track sounds like it could quite have easily been on Noel's 'High Flying Birds' solo album.You can really hear his new direction in this track.I like the video too.Over the years although they've produced an impressive back catalougue of songs,quite often their videos were (imo) artistically quite poor.This is one of their better one's.Suffice to say the lads from Burnage don't seem to be too keen on the Monarchy judging by this vid.
'Digsy's Dinner' i was going to vote for as i just find it a bright,breezy,fun pop/Indie track that brings back thick memories of being in 1994 and is quite synonomous with Utd's Cup win (the whole album is actually).I inparticular like the original version of it i posted above.
But as it looks like a two-way battle between two tracks i am going to vote tactically on this ocassion and opt for 'Bring It On Down'.
Don't get me wrong i like 'Go Let It Out'.It was a fine 'comeback' song for them,is a bit psychedelic and Liam looks the bollocks in the video.But.....
'Bring It On Down' is Oasis in their absolute peak.They sounded so fresh,original,exciting and invigorating in those days (well if you were 14 years old anyway,and i expect anywhere upto and including the age of about 35).They sound almost Post-Punk here.But most of all they're just very Oasis.
